They never have doubles. You would think they would have a popular dish that they put on the menu. I ha e driven to this place for the last 6 months the for last 6 months for doubles and have not been successful because they always run out. I have called ahead and still since they do not let me order over the phone I have drive 45 minutes and been told they ran out! I will say the USED to be worth the drive but the last time we actually got them, they were full of grease and salt. I was willing to continue to try because historically they were good ..when McDonald’s messes up we still give them a try so why not right? I tried for the LAST time yesterday! The line was long as always so I asked if they had doubles before standing in the line and wasting time I was told they did. Suddenly after standing in line for 10 mins a customer yelled to the back they were out of doubles!!! Very unprofessional and unprepared. Not sure of this is a new owner but the quality and service have gone down the tubes here.

The food at West Indian Flavour II is not good or tasty. Rice and beans were really dry. Cabbage was too crunchy and mixed with other vegetables (broccoli florets and carrots) not requested. Oxtails were small, hard with so much cartilage and not well seasoned. There was hardly any sauce in anything. I could not eat the meal. It costs $23.00/each and I bought 2. Both went into the trash. Pineapple and soursop drinks were weirdly foamy and costs $10 ea.
Staff were attentive and congenial. Service was quick as I was the lone customer. There were no diners at lunch hour. I will never eat food from this place again.
NOTE: West Indian Flavor II is not Royal Maroon, which is directly next door (inside of Blue Caribbean. Royal Maroon had absolutely scrumptious food and better prices.
I rate West Indian Flavor II a low 2 out of a possible high of 5.

Really enjoyed the cow foot soup and roti over the weekend. I also ordered Dhalpourie later in the afternoon and it was still available. It seems they have a new chef or management because the service and food has been good compared to when I went in the past.

It’s been about 3 years since I’ve been here. I almost didn’t go because of all the negative reviews. I’m glad I trusted my past experiences.
I had another great experience. I ordered chick peas and potato roti, pholourie, and doubles. All well seasoned and good portions.
The customer service was very good and timely. I was in any it within 10 minutes.
Now for the bad – I had to go back for my tamarind and pepper sauce, as they forgot to include it and the sorrel was too sugary.
Other than that, I enjoyed my experience and will return the next time in in Baltimore.

I was visiting Baltimore and asked a fellow Trini who was from Baltimore, “hey bro, where can I get a good Roti? He immediately responded with you have got to check out West Indian flavor restaurant.!!! I immediately called the establishment and spoke to Miss Glenda, and explained to her that I was visiting and looking for some good Trini food. She responded, “You better come soon because we sell out” Upon arrival, I think I ordered almost everything on the menu, I was hungry, eyes bigger than my stomach ♂️!!!
My order consisted of one chicken roti with sliced pepper, an oxtail dinner, a shrimp dinner, both accompanied with rice and peas with cabbage but was disappointed they didn’t have any more Mac and Cheese. Also ordered some Pollari, one doubles just to check it out two bake and salt fish, two solos and two Peardrax.
Like I said, I was hungry, the doubles was tasty, oxtail, tender, and juicy bake and salt fish I will definitely be back!!!

Bad attitude, no communication with customers or certain customers, wait time is extremely long with no updates/ acknowledgement, mess up orders.
My husband decided to patronize their establishment once again and they didn’t fail to let him down. He just finished dialysis and was very hungry and wanted a beef roti, ordered buss up shot (stated on receipt) waited 40 mins, he saw people who ordered after him getting their orders, after 1/2 hr I called him and told him asked them what’s going on, as if him standing there wasn’t noticeable enough. He enquired and the order was filled within 2 mins only to come home and get dhal puri roti (not what he ordered).
We are appreciative of anyone providing our local cuisine and try to patronize as much as possible. Do better please!!!

This is the first time in YEARS that I can say my experience here was a good one. I don’t know if it is under new management or what, but the attitudes from the workers weren’t as bad as it has been in the years prior. The food was always good.

Watery curry and no flavor. Roti/ Dhal Puri isn’t made fresh. Goat was absolutely disgusting. Tasted like it wasn’t cleaned or washed properly because it tasted like wild gamey meat. Goat should be cleaned in vinegar and water or salt and water. Rice was cheap long grain rice instead of good Jasmine rice.I was not happy. Service was all over the place and didn’t know what they had left or what ran out. Just not together. Definitely would not recommend because you need pepper sauce just to give it flavor. The name is not suiting for this restaurant Because there’s no real West Indian Flavors.

I had Dhalpoure dozens of times in Trinidad…this spot is missing some flavors. It’s bland compared to the authentic version. Even the curry tasted watered down.

I confirmed they had all the items I wanted, placed a phone order and paid over the phone. I arrived at least 40 minutes later and my order still was not ready. I left and came and still they were short 2 doubles and tried to substitute it with less interesting items of which I declined. I got home and the buss up shot was not bussing. In other words, it was like thin roti bake. The pumpkin was good but the aloo was hunks of potato with very little channa. I returned yesterday to surpise my sister with doubles knowing I would avoid the buss up shut. I ordered 8 doubles at $3.75 USD per doubles. Yesss…you heard correctly. Please take a look at what I paid $3.75 for. Every last one looked like this. You can count the channa. How this place is rated a 4 star is beyond me. I will resume making my own buss up shut and doubles packed with channa and topped with proper tambran sauce, cucumber chutney and other condiments. Some businesses should just close up shop and this is one. The portions have gotten VERY small compared to other Caribbean establishments and the prices have increased tremendously. No wonder they don’t post prices anywhere. Do yourself a favor and avoid West Indian Flavour.
