Wandering around South Boston, we came across this spot and decided to walk in because the decor felt classy and inviting. Even without a reservation on a Thursday, we were seated right away. Service was genuinely warm and attentive (shout-out to Tanya!) Drinks were solid too. I loved my dirty martini, and my partner said his chai negroni was a good negroni overall, though the chai didn’t really come through or add much to the flavor.
But the food absolutely stole the show. The shrimp linguini was insanely flavorful, and the smash burger was perfection, juicy, soft patty, total nom nom moment. Would happily come back just for that burger alone.
And finally, ended the night on a sweet note – a chocolate chip cookie with two decaf espressos!
Minor suggestion here: would have appreciated a warmed up cookie (just to taste that molten chocolate)
Very reasonable prices for Boston!! Cocktails are ~15, entrees all mid 20s!

5 stars all around. This was a very innovative menu for both food and drink. Premium craft cocktails paired with unique dishes. The chicken is king though. A great sandwich and dippers. The mixed drinks were insane as well. Good twists on the classics. I look forward to coming back for date night with my wife.

Love this place!! From the moment we sat down, Grace set the perfect vibe– Purva, our server, was super attentive and walked us through the menu like a pro. Everything he recommended? Absolutely fab!
Shoutout to Leo, who poured us the city’s finest water.
We tried a spicy espresso martini and a hot & dirty gin, and wow… Stephen & Jack absolutely nailed them. Better than I even imagined!
The manager Jo was super nice, stopped by to check on us, and was so friendly and chatty.
Overall, every single person made our brunch feel special. Can’t wait to come back!

I loved the atmosphere of this place. It is cozy & very cute for a date. I was coming to the shy bird to have the cesar salad wrap, but I wasn’t aware it was only a lunchtime thing. My soon to be husband got pork parmesan which he said was OK, which I tried and it was eh. The flavor was kind of funky. I ended up getting the chipotle smash burger with some fries though. It was good, & now I am full and ready for dessert now somewhere else tonight.
Thanks Shy Bird!!

Good coffee! Looseleaf tea is also available here and served in a 2 serving teapot.
The vibe is modern and clean. I didn’t order any food this time, but would try again if I was in the area. A ton of options on their menu and what looked like some tasty brunch options!

Shy bird was a wonderful experience. We hosted our friend’s birthday party there.
They accommodated all 12 of us on a very busy night where they were having a special dinner event.
We were greeted by Alex, who took care of us throughout the night. Our waiter (who I forgot the name of. My apologies), made sure all of our appetizers entrees and desserts and drinks came out consistently and on time.
They also accommodated the birthday bringing out some drinks and a dessert with candles.
All in all this will be my go-to place for a meal to myself or for when I’m bringing friends and family into the city for a good time.
Thank you so much for providing a great night.

Bobby was amazing! We had such a good meal after a long flight into Boston. The highlights were the toffee cake dessert (Bobby’s rec!) and tuna and crispy rice appetizers. Drinks, food, vibes – this place is an all around! Will definitely be back and SOON!

First time visiting and I really enjoyed how chill it felt that evening. Our server was lovely, the pumpkin soup and toffee cake was AMAZING!
Look forward to going back and trying more dishes.

Went to Shybird last week and had a very nice meal. The South Boston location is super open with great outdoor seating, and the staff was super helpful. My dining partner had a delicious looking martini, the dunks (chicken nuggets), and the Mac n Cheese. The Mac was lacking flavor in my opinion, but the dunks are quite good. I went with the chicken sandwich with greens instead of fries. My only criticism about an otherwise delicious sandwich was the bread. It should have been toasted to hold better and add some crunch to the sandwich. I’d go back, but I wouldn’t rush.

This was a slam dunk, all puns intended. Ordered the dunks, flight of sauces and fries. Dunks were perfectly tender and juicy while staying crispy on the outside. All of the sauces perfectly complimented the nugs and you can’t beat rosemary french fries. Mike was serving us at the bar and was friendly and accommodating. 10/10 would recommend!
