Always very busy, which is a good sign – until it affects your food. We visited on Valentine’s Day and our starters were good, my husband enjoyed his main but mine was inedible. The risotto wasn’t cooked so the rice was still very crunchy. Nobody checked on us throughout the meal so they didn’t realise until the end, although they did apologise and remove it from the bill. I ended up leaving hungry and having to go and get food elsewhere which ruined our nights plan. I may try again, but not on a busy evening.

Wonderful experience! We arrived after a long walk in the countryside and when the local pubs weren’t able to accept us, the waiter here made a special arrangement for us given we had a dog. This was such a replenishing meal after our walk and we were welcomed with open arms. Thank you!

The unassuming and slightly eclectic decor belies the friendly and attentive hospitality and the high quality of food, both of which we’ve now almost come to take for granted. The welcome is always warm, the way the food is presented is exemplary, the portion sizes are reminiscent of pre-nouvelle cuisine days and the music playlist tonight seemed less Italian restaurant cliché and more like what you’d hear playing in an average Italian home!

We’ve eaten here more times than I can count since moving 2 years ago and it is hands down the best place in town. If you haven’t tried their seafood pasta – you must!!! The staff are always amazing, we love it so much!!

Four of us ate early on a Friday evening. We had a table inside next to the open large sliding windows. Our host Joseph was attentive, polite and had a good sense of humour. The food was excellent. One of the best restaurant meals I’ve had in a long time.
