I ordered the brisket, ribs, potato salad, baked beans and jambalaya. Everything was excellent except for the ribs. They were dry and hard. No real smoked flavor. The brisket is highly recommended.

A group of 8 of us ate here last night. Honestly had a bit of everything and the food was delicious! I am more of a point fan than flat on the brisket so will ask the about it next time. The portions were very big as well and I loved their green beans!

The meat was the brisket half pound and it required sauce because it was a little bit dry. Which made it very tasty and good to eat.
The macaroni and cheese was great! the coleslaw is questionable – I’m not from around here so maybe people here like it, but I’m from Georgia and I didn’t like it; It had a weird taste to it and it was red.
The Texas toast was just some cheap white bread, not toasted.
Cute store-like atmosphere and nice people. If the brisket wasn’t dry it would be five stars.

I’m a truck driver and saw their sign on the interstate and decided to check it out. So glad I did. They have a parking lot for trucks to park in. I got the brisket with potatoe salad and jambalaya. Both sides were great. They gave me a very generous serving of brisket and it was one of the better briskets I’ve had. Very tender, moist, and flavorful. Prices are very reasonable for BBQ nowadays and the service was great as well. Will definitely be back next time I’m making my way through this area!

In my opinion, the best sliced beef brisket sandwich you can buy on I-10 in Texas. Not the cheapest, just the best and most consistent. Pickles and onions highly recommended. Worth stopping anytime they are open 8a-7p Mon-Sat. I have been stopping there since mid 1980’s.

We had lunch at this restaurant today. When you drive up it doesn’t look like much of a restaurant (more like a gas station). But once inside it’s nice. I had a 2 meat plate (ribs & turkey) with cole slaw and green beans. My wife had the chicken & turkey with mac cheese and green beans. We both thought the food was excellent, tender, and done to perfection. The ribs were possibly the best I’ve ever had. Definitely would recommend this restaurant. Be sure to try the fried desserts. . Update 10/5, stopped in this morning and bought our lunch. Noticed they had semi truck parking and wanted to let our Truck Driver and RVer friends know.

This boudain is great its so good! I ordered and had my dog in yhe car so i went out and the gentleman at the counter brought it out before i could even come back and grab it. Super fast. Be sure to tip! Its best boudain outside of zummos if youre buying in a store. Better than reheating it athome. I got the spicy version for what its worth and it had a distinct flavor. Not your generic boudain. Thank you again for the experience Gator Junction!!

Definitely a place you need to check out! The first thing you notice is the fat little alligator with the short little arms but the hospitality and the barbecue is amazing!!! The pulled pork is some of the best I’ve ever had!!!

Delightful ! We were treated like family. Had pulled pork sandwiches, crunchy Cole slaw & refreshing cucumber salad. Oh, let’s don’t forget the peach cobbler for dessert. Yum. Also got a portion of their custom Trucker smoked beef / pork blend sausage. Not greasy, tender casing, easy to enjoy & boy is it delicious ! This must be in the Top 100 Texas BBQ Restaurants.

We stopped in on a whim because it was conveniently located and had plenty of parking. We travel across all US states and have had BBQ everywhere we go, so we know some excellentBBQ places. However, this was not one of the good ones..
We ordered a brisket plate with potato salad with baked beans and a three meat plate with brisket, chicken, and sausage with coleslaw and Mac n cheese. I’ll start off by saying that the sausage was delicious! It was not spicy or greasy, but it was flavorful. The chicken was sliced and formed much like the brisket, in slab form, which was an odd form for chicken. It was seasoned with chili flakes, which was not what we would care to try again. The brisket seemed old. Like it had been cooked the day or two before and reheated. It crumbled when handled. The taste wasn’t horrible. It was alright at best. The mac n cheese was cooked well but tasted rather ordinary. The baked beans tasted like they were from a can. The potato salad was a bit bland and had both large and small size potato chunks, which made it difficult to eat without cutting the larger pieces into smaller bite-sized pieces.
We arrived ahead of the crowd, so I’m hoping that our experience was because they had to sell the old meat first. Unfortunately for us.
