Slim Chickens is a counter service restaurant specializing in chicken, southern sides, and really good desserts. The Davenport location bathroom is the cleanest business bathroom I’ve ever been in… ever. Everything else is clean too, plus well stocked and ready to go. Everyone from the manager down to counter staff is friendly and makes eye contact (rare these days) when they take care of your needs. Lots of families are dining inside and out. Their glass jar desserts and brownies are better than anything you’ll eat at a theme park, hands down. 5 stars!

Food – Chicken chewy, flavor ok. Slim on the fries .
Restaurant – overall clean. Some tables dirty needed wiped down. Restroom clean. Outside parking clean. Not that the restaurant did it but when you pull out on the side street to leave they have a curb in the middle of the road that forces you to only turn right then you got to figure out how to turn around to get back out the highway 27. Not very functional.
Overall – I didn’t find anything special that separates them from the other chain fast food restaurants. The food was average. Not too overpriced but should look at increasing the portion sizes…. Kinda slim
Returning – you didn’t win me over but I don’t think you lost me either. I’d give it another try but don’t go raising the price, I won’t pay more for what you’re offering.

This location has a phenomenal staff. They are very mindful to the customer, have tremendous attention to detail and work together very well. Jerry And Alexandre We’re very helpful in taking care of a situation. We had at the store the evening before and they did everything to make it right.

The service was quick and the employee was friendly. He brought our order to our table after it was done. Refill drinks as needed. I have had better chicken tenders at other similar restaurants but everything was ok. They need to provide a little more sauce than one. The wings and fries were pretty good.

The chicken is very very salty… Omg . My first and last time.. never again.. they could give someone a heart attack The service was great but the food is nasty.. I ordered the chicken tenders and the first bite was wow… Pure salt…Be careful eating. I covered it in the bread they give you to knock out the salt from the crust…

Based on my first experience with Slim chickens, never been and never heard of them, it wasn’t half bad compared to Magoos down the street.
I wasn’t a fan of the lemonade
I wasn’t a fan of the strawberry cheese cake jar, the strawberries was a bit tart for my tongue but may be for some. ( I was genuinely excited about this jar because I love cheesecake)
I was a fan of everything else. The sauces are amazing with a clean crisp on the wings .
The chocolate cheesecake was very good.
The tenders was crispy. I do prefer crisper tenders but that’s just me.
Overall, I would give the brand 4.5! Service was bright and friendly for sure.

Was so disappointed in our last visit. I ordered a head,SC was running a promo so I thought ordering ahead would be smart. I had to wait. And wait. I finally asked where our order was, the staff looked panicked. The guy at the register said to give them 10 more min. He then brought our food out. My chicken was cold and rock hard. My fried dill pickles were cold and not even cooked. Disgusting.
My daughters food was cold as was my husband’s. The place was busy due to the promo but the food was awful and service was amateur hour.

I’ve been to this location several times since it opened and have ordered several items.
We have done dine in and drive through. We received great customer service, the staff were friendly and the location was clean.
Our first time we visited the location was via the drive through we ordered the Buffalo Mac and Cheese bowl (I forgot to take a picture) , the taste was good but the Mac and Cheese were too watery for my liking.
Our second visit we dined in the restaurant and order the Salad, Chicken Tender meal and Wing Meal. All 3 items were delicious and fresh.
Our third visit we went via drive through we had the wing meal with pickles. I could not eat the pickles they were extremely salty. The wings tossed in Korean BBQ sauce were amazing. We also had the 3 for 3 meal and asked them to toss both styles of chicken in buffalo sauce. It was delicious. Lastly we ordered Mayo Habanero wing meal with a side of Mac and cheese instead of fries. The Mac and Cheese was better this time around and not as watery.
