We had such a great experience at Tangs! The food and atmosphere were absolutely amazing. Lillian and her team are so warm and welcoming, they truly make you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.

Our server was fantastic and made sure no one’s glass was ever empty, checking in often and making sure everything was perfect. The service, the food, everything was top notch.

My personal favourite is the soy and garlic chicken wings, they are a must try!

Thank you, Lillian, for keeping Tangs thriving in Sarnia. We are so lucky to have you!

Nice location, friendly staff, good with special requests. But not a fan of the meat to other ingredients ratio in some items. Also would remove the green pepper from the shrimp dol vop dish.

Went for my birthday with friends. Tiki our waitress was excellent. Food wonderful. Got a lovely pc of cake and nice calendar as gift. Full house as a theatre night and entire place sang Happy Birthday. Can hardly wait to go back!

First time back to Tang’s in a long while. The renovations are fantastic! Wow, long gone is the darkness…making way to a beauty new bar, fresh decor (thank you for keeping the Phoenix and Dragon!), love music for First Friday downtown, intriguing artwork and clean everything. The washroom have had a makeover too! There is an accessible washroom on the main floor for those that dislike the stairs! Food was delicious, hot and our server, Karen, was knowledgeable and full of great suggestions towards our wonderful meal. Excellent menu! Thank you for a great experience! See you again soon, highly recommend!

Stopped over in Sarnia for the night and was recommended to eat there from locals. So glad we did. Even on a Monday night they were busy so reservations are advised. Very high quality food perfectly prepared. Staff was accommodating. This is not your typical Chinese food. There is a reason they have been there for 54 years!!

I thoroughly enjoyed dining here for the first time. The food was delicious and they offer the best hot & sour soup I have ever had.
It’s hard to find a Chinese restaurant that exceeds my expectations, but this experience did exactly that.
The restaurant is clean, well decorated and the staff are super pleasant. Worth mentioning they have a great bar and it was nice to be able to chat there with one of the owners and learn the history of Tang’s China House.
This is an easy 5 stars and I look forward to dining here again soon!

Picked up 2 dinners plus extra vegetable chop suey and crispy wontons. To start the first dinner put in bag was put in upside down resulting in an uneatable soggy egg roll . Both dinners had honey garlic ribs (4) in them which were exceptionally dry and tough.
The rest of the order was good.

I’m in love. Walking in to a history lesson in where Tang’s began and where it is now was given by the lovely Lillian. I felt like the most important person there. The food was fresh, colourful and delicious. The quality was impressive and the complimentary wonton chips were a nice touch (with a sweet message written in the box).

The upgraded and updated “reopened” Tangs China House did not disappoint.

I ate there regularly in the 1980s and by the clientele at Tangs tonight, all were customers from the 70s and 80s wanting to come back and experience the joy of eating at a great Sarnia Chinese restaurant. It did not disappoint.

Felt like old times with an updated flair in both the decor and the wonderful food presented. A well balanced menu offering regular Chinese flair as well as new dishes. Sarnia surely needed this and coming back to this restaurant certainly won’t be our last.

We ordered wonton soup, fried wontons for an appetizer followed by Singapore Rice Noodles, Chicken Almond Soo Guy and Beef with Broccoli and Mushrooms. Everything was prepared and presented to perfection. The soup was flavourful, the Singapore noodles had some heat and was delicious. The Chicken Almond Soo Guy was the best we have ever had. The chicken tender, the coating crispy. The Beef Broccoli Mushrooms was excellent. Tender beef, fresh broccoli, plenty of mushrooms and a lovely sauce. The portions were plentiful and we had enough to take home for a second meal (which was our plan).

Our server thought we had already been looked after so didn’t attend to our table until we finally motioned to him. It was sorted out and service was fine from that point on. He was friendly and attentive.

We met the new owner, Lillian (daughter of the original owners). She is lovely, bubbly and attentive. A great addition to the Sarnia community. Her brother, Steven, is the chef and manages the kitchen. Between Lillian and Steven, I am sure that the dining experience at Tangs will return to its former glory to when their parents began their venture in the 70s. Welcome back to Sarnia!

My son and I had ordered take out and delivery tonight. We haven’t ordered in a few years and unfortunately we were very disappointed. The lady who took our order over the phone was lovely and kind and the delivery driver came a few minutes before our time and was nice. As for the food, it was ….weird. The chicken fried rice was bland, no flavor, barely any chicken or vegetables in it.The lemon chicken was no where close to lemon chicken, it was the weirdest texture and flavor. The chicken lo mein noodles also had no flavor and was big spaghetti noodles. Just overall not impressed and we will not be ordering from tangs again.
