What makes the place most special to us the the warmth and care we always feel from the staff. Nadia is so kind and so much fun. Thibault and Amaury have breathed such passion and enthusiasm into this gem of a restaurant; it’s a joy to visit.
See you again…and hide the ginger rum.
We sat for the second seating at 8pm on a Sunday night.. Reservations definitely required.
The fish dishes and lobster were the best we had in our one week stay in the islands. Top shelf. The only dish we didnt love was the lobster bisque, which was more of a strong broth without any pieces of lobster.
Service was attentive and perhaps a bit sassy. If you are looking for formal snooty waiters this isn’t your place.
We closed the place down and it felt like family – just great food in a very welcoming environment. Great food and great experience.
Make sure to call a cab 30 minutes before your dinner ends. We didn’t do this and almost got stuck. The restaurant is so nice one of the employees going our direction offered to give us a lift.
Dinner for 4 with multiple courses, a big lobster and two bottles of wine was about $500.
Definite do not miss if you are visiting the island!
The highlight of the meal would definitely have to be the Lobster Thermidor (signature of the house chosen) It was honestly out of this world, zero regrets. The lobster was so tender and buttery, the sauce was beyond anything I could have ever imagined.
We also ordered the Veal Scallopini, The veal was thinly sliced, incredibly tender, and served with a creamy sauce with a hint of blue cheese and sautéed mushrooms underneath.
For dessert, we shared the hot chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream, truly the perfect ending to the meal.
Every bite was just wow, to say both dishes were outstanding is an understatement. This place is a must visit absolutely worth it. Delicious food, great atmosphere, and an all-around fantastic experience.
The service however felt lacking. No warmth, no pleasantries, just take the order and drop it off. Didn’t ask how everything was, just not welcoming or engaging. We actually thought of going back even with the subpar service because the food was just that good, but we decided to try La Villa instead and that met all our needs and was truly a 5 star experience.
If youve read a few reviews on Bistrot, you’ll see others who mention the service, and if you prepare for it, and only care about the food being amazing, then definitely visit.
Overall, we would return and hope good service ends up being a bonus if they continue to serve great tasting food.
Bistrot Caraïbes is everything you hope to find when you’re searching for an authentic, welcoming dining experience in Grand Case. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was wonderfully relaxing. It’s the kind of place where you can actually unwind and enjoy your evening.
The owner was present, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive without being overbearing. It’s clear this is someone who cares deeply about their restaurant and their guests, and that attention to detail shows in every aspect of the experience.
The food was outstanding. We had both the lobster and the trigger fish, and both were cooked beautifully …fresh, flavourful, and expertly prepared. You can taste the quality in every bite.
The wait staff were polished and attentive, striking that perfect balance of being available when you need them while giving you space to enjoy your meal. True professionals who clearly take pride in what they do.
This is the kind of restaurant that makes you fall in love with Grand Case. Great food, warm hospitality, and an atmosphere that invites you to linger and savor the experience.
We left completely satisfied and already planning our return visit. If you’re looking for a delicious meal served with genuine Caribbean warmth and European expertise, Bistrot Caraïbes should be at the top of your list.
Highly recommended.
Lobster tasted like it sat under a heat lamp for a while before we got it. Side dishes came 5 min later. Child’s chicken nuggets were forgotten. For €240 I wish I’d bought us a day on a catamaran instead.
