The outside looks a little run down, but don’t let it deter you. We had sushi, the boil bag, & chicken hibachi. We all enjoyed our meals and were full by the time we left.

I recently celebrated a big birthday dinner with a group of 14 friends and family at this restaurant which has been special to us for over 13 years. Even though the name (Kawa) and menu have changed a bit over time, the heart of this place has never changed—and that’s what keeps us coming back.
One thing that truly stands out is that this is a family‑owned restaurant, and you can feel the care, pride, and love they put into their food and service. It adds a level of warmth and authenticity that you just don’t get everywhere.
Our group ordered a wide range of dishes, and not a single plate was left with food on it. Several guests tried the special fried rice, while one had the chicken fried rice. Everyone loved their meals so much that I even ordered an extra fried rice to take home.
We also enjoyed a great selection of sushi, including a few rolls we had never tried before. Their sushi roll prices are the best in the area, yet the quality remains consistently excellent. The sashimi we ordered was fresh, beautifully presented, and did not disappoint. One guest ordered the noodles with shrimp and said it was the best they’d ever had.
To top it off, the restaurant has a surprisingly wide variety of Asian beers at very reasonable prices. The beers we tried were a big hit with the group and paired perfectly with the food.
The service was another highlight of the night. Our waiter was wonderful—attentive, friendly, patient, and on top of everything our large party needed. Managing a group of 14 isn’t easy, but he handled it flawlessly and made us feel well cared for. My fiancé asked him a lot of questions on some of dishes and he was very knowledgeable.
After more than a decade of visiting, this birthday dinner reminded me exactly why this place has remained one of our family favorites. Delicious food, great prices, warm service, and the heart of a family‑owned business that truly values what they do. Highly recommend for both special occasions and everyday meals. There is plenty of parking for a big party too.

5 stars all around! Fast and friendly service and a good change from the usual. The flavor and spice levels really make the customization stand out. Everything was perfect and fresh.
I really enjoyed my clams in slicy Cajun seasoning. I coukd have eaten 3 of them and I’m kicking myself for not getting a large basket. The hush puppies were golden and crispy and so fresh, accompanied by a great aioli. The gyoza were so crispy.

Celebrating 3 of my adult children birthday in one night. Made reservations for 10 and asked if I could bring cakes for them. The manager was very friendly and accommodating. I brought the cakes 3 hours before the reservations start time. After my table was finished with the meal, our server and manager brought out the cakes with candles burning, and we all sang. Very pleasant evening with great food.

Every time I go to Mr. Crabs its perfect. They have some of the best sushi. The sea food boil is top notch. They have something for everyone in my family. Its a nice peaceful fun restaurant. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. I have never been there and had anything but a perfect time and food.

This place was wild. Walked in and the lady said “What do you want?” We got a table for 2. Sushi apps and Beers. Ordered a Sea Food Boil for the entree. Everything was fantastic. Service was good. Rude but attentive. We didn’t care. The food was that good. Definitely go here.

I’m always skeptical trying new sushi spots and I especially was stepping into Mr. Crab since it is a seafood boil spot… but it did not dissapoint!! Might be one of my fav sushi spots around now. Great prices as well. Spring rolls had the perfect crunch, loved the calamari paired with the Thai sauce, and the fries were perfect as well. For sushi I got 5 rolls and my favorite might’ve been the princess roll.
If you’re looking for good fried food and some bomb sushi, this is the place to go!
