I never expected to have the best Mexican food I’ve tried in the U.S. at the Grand Canyon — especially from a food truck! But Carreta El Asadero completely proved me wrong.
Now I understand why this place has such great reviews. Everything we ordered was delicious — the tacos and burritos were amazing. The food was fresh, flavorful, and honestly better than many sit-down restaurants. The prices were great too.
One tip: many people order ahead, and I didn’t know that, so I ended up waiting a bit after ordering. But honestly, it was absolutely worth the wait. Even though it was busy, the owner was kind, welcoming, and clearly put so much care into the food.

Everything was made to order and tastes super fresh. Amazing service, delicious food, and the perfect place to stop by during a long road trip. Definitely will be coming back and recommending this place to everybody I know.
I got the lengua burrito, and it was super well-made and very tender. The Asada and the adobada tacos were also delicious.

Amazing tacos, my wife was ecstatic about them. Seriously delicious meat on all, our favorite were the adobada (pastor) and Birria. We ended up taking another 6 tacos just to have a stash of them for the night at the hotel.

Honestly by far best quesadillas I have ever eaten. I spent far more money at other restaurants in Tucson and Sedona and they didnt even come close to the taste of this place. The portions are generous, the price is fair and the workers are so nice. I wish I could spend more nights in Williams so that I can have dinner there again. 100% worth it.

My sister in law & I stopped here on our cross country roadtrip. This has to be the best Mexican food I’ve ever eaten (and I eat a lot of Mexican food). The owner was so friendly & brought the food to our car when it was ready. I wish this wasn’t so far away from us because I’d be going here regularly. Absolutely delicious! If we happen to ever drive through here again, we’ll be stopping by!

This is the best food truck in town! It beats all the mexican style sit down restaurants as well. They have a variety of meat (asada, birria, cabeza, lengua, just to name a few), and a variety of choices (tacos, burritos, plate combos, quesadillas, again just to name a few). It is family owned and they are the nicest people. My husband and I go every Sunday ❤️
