My husband and I were out shopping at the outlets and got hungry. He was feeling Italian and so we decided to stop by Giuseppe’s to grab some dinner before heading home. The staff were very welcoming and the atmosphere was relaxed and peaceful. They had specials on wine and food, but their regular menu is amazing as well. We ordered the fried green tomatoes appetizer, chicken & vegetable soup, my husband got the special: pan seared beef tenderloin and I got the Ragú All Bolognese. All of the food tasted super fresh, like it came straight from the garden to the kitchen, plus VERY delicious! I would definitely recommend trying them out if you’re ever in the Williamsburg area!

Came in tonight 12/30/25 from out of town and was hungry (mainly the only reason we ate the food). The atmosphere was great and the experience was fine, but the food was VERY bland. Also the size of the food was not what should’ve been reflected in the price. $25 dollars for gnocchi for maybe a handful and some change worth of gnocchi, not worth the price tag.the service was great all the way through from host to paying for the meal with our server. I think this restaurant would fit an older crowd who is okay with bland food / sensitive stomachs but would not recommend if you are looking for authentic Italian.
For reference the photos taken was when everyone started cutting and preparing their food for consumption.
Long story short, great atmosphere, good service, BAD food.

Stumbled across this restaurant while in the area. The servers were very friendly and the restaurant had a homey, cozy atmosphere.
We ordered the calamari to start and I ordered the meatballs with pasta. Both were delicious! The entree also came with a very flavorful tomato and gorgonzola soup. I also tried the lentil soup, which was also very tasty. The complementary bread rolls were a nice addition.
Overall, enjoyed a nice meal in this gem of a restaurant!

Been coming here with my partner now for a couple years. We always make the effort to stop here when in town for Kings Dominion or Busch Gardens. Service is always outstanding, food is AMAZING, and drinks are divine. Giuseppe’s offers great specials, which are posted in the waiting room upon arrival. The owner ALWAYS makes an effort to talk to the customer’s and truly cares about your experience within his restaurant. I have noticed portions have gone down in size but overall couldn’t recommend this place anymore, will be back soon!

This place is such a gem! The food was incredible, the servers are so kind and they see to your every need with a smile making you feel welcome and part of the family.
I got the calamari for an appetizer, they were lightly breaded and seasoned well, as was the marinara to dip it in.
I got the peach and arugula salad which was out of this world, I can’t wait to make this a weekly rotation at home! The arugula was delicious and fresh, the red onion sliced perfectly thin. With all those flavors combined they harmonized in such a beautiful way: smoky, funky, sweet and peppery!
For my main course I got the carbonara, I was over the moon when I read the ingredients list and saw that it’s very authentic. The pasta had a little chew thankfully so it wasn’t just gummy and overcooked, and it wasn’t overloaded with sauce, and the perfect amount of guanciale and peccorino was used so it didn’t become too salty.
For dessert I got the tiramisu and it was a triumph, so sweet without being too rich, just the right amount of coffee flavor so it wasn’t too bitter.
This place will definitely become one of my regulars for special occasions!

Best Italian food I’ve had in Virginia. Authentic dishes with a great atmosphere whether you’re in the dining room or sitting at the bar. They have new specials nightly that never miss. And don’t sleep on the house wines!

Very good food. We had the bolognese and carbonara. Our daughter had the butter pasta from the kids menu. The food came with rolls and a salad (adults). The pasta is homemade I would guess. So good! Service was friendly but a little on the slower side.

Seated quickly, then completely ignored. We waited 15+ minutes while the waitress made eye contact multiple times and never once came over. We left before even ordering. Whether it was poor management or something more biased—noticing we were the only interracial couple in the room—the service was pathetic.

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and experience here! The staff was so friendly and I could tell from their conversations with other patrons that this location is very popular with the locals as well as the tourists which is really nice. The tomato soup was one of, if not the best, I’ve ever had. I requested an alteration to my pasta dish and they were happy to accommodate so I appreciated that. And last but not least, the chocolate covered ice cream dessert was super delicious! I would definitely recommend this gem of a location to anyone.
