Best Japanese restaurant in Los Angeles! Beautiful and spacious place with stylish design and a great atmosphere. Staff is attentive and welcoming. Perfect spot for a date or a special evening. Happy hour from five to seven offers buy one get one free sushi, which makes the experience even better.

I had been eying this place and wanted to try out Sakana Sushi Lounge DTLA. I finally got the chance. I walked in got greeted by Doorman and got seated right away. Scrolled down the menu placed my order. I was so surprised how fast they roll them suhsi rolls so fast. I enjoyed all of it even the green tea. I sure will be going back.

We stopped by randomly and caught a 50% evening discount, but honestly, that wasn’t the main highlight.
The rolls were absolutely delicious, super fresh, and prepared quickly.
I would gladly pay full price even without the discount — that’s how good it was.
This is my favorite sushi spot at the moment.
Plus, the music was really pleasant, creating a cozy and relaxing atmosphere.
Definitely coming back and highly recommend ✨

The food was great, we had a total of 4 different sushi rolls, my Girlfriend and I went in for happy hour which is buy one roll get one free or buy one cocktail get one free and they also happen to have the Sapporo beer on happy hour. The service was great. Everyone was very helpful and quick, keep in mind that the restaurant was about 30% busy. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a nice and classy sushi experience in DTLA

Exactly what we needed tonight to stay warm. It was colder than we expected and we didn’t come prepared with jackets, but Sakana came through. High quality Japanese food that’s open late—hard to beat. This was our second time here and we’ve officially declared it a solid downtown dinner spot. Warm sake, fresh fish, and killer bentos. The uni burrata gets points for thinking outside the box, but I wouldn’t order it again. Still, 9/10 would recommend!

This was a great experience for me to have with my family when I had the opportunity to get food with them. One in the history books I wouldn’t mind going there again. If you love sushi like me this is definitely the place that you should go to. They are open from 5 PM – Midnight. Happy hour is BOGO everyday is 5 PM – 7 PM. I’m waiting for them to open so I can bring my friends over. They have a wide variety of selections of great food. This place is pretty expensive so be ready to cash out at least $100 plus dollars totally worth it though.

We discovered this hidden gem near our hotel on New Year’s Eve. The restaurant had beautiful decor, and the food experience exceeded our expectations. Not realizing the portions were so generous, we ordered more than we could eat. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place, especially if you’re a sushi lover. Awesome place and super friendly staff. You gotta try the sushi burrito—it’s not amazing, but it’s super innovative (taste was just okay). The spicy shishito wasn’t spicy at all, but the crispy tuna was decent. Price is unbeatable.

Fantastic service and attention from the staff, they were kind and helpful. The food was incredible and we happened to arrive during Happy Hour which was a welcomed surprise. The Beef Bento Box had a refreshing salad and tender beef. The Rainbow Roll phenomenonal as well.
