I ordered food thru a third party app, I did not eat in.
I really wanted to like this more, the reviews were not too bad on DoorDash (but then I saw the reviews here). What I got, though, was a lot of really odd food. The Shrimp Fried Rice was unbelievably bland, like NO flavor, it was like chewing air. So strange, honestly. The Wonton Soup was better, but loaded with a seasoning I have never noted in Wonton soup before. Not necessarily bad, just not what I was expecting. The Egg Rolls (2 pcs) were the most “normal” of the items I got. It was pretty basic and well made. No fortune cookies, no Chinese mustard included. So, yeah. Kinda meh. I don’t see myself ordering here again.

We used Orient Express as the location of our “rehearsal lunch” for our wedding at the Baltimore Museum of Art down the road. We had about 25 people in the upstairs part and we ordered several dishes per tables. Everything tasted amazing – as expected, and it was a really nice space for people to get to know each other. Everyone really enjoyed themselves. The management was also very kind and easy to work with to set this up.

I am from NYC and we have some of the best Chinese restaurants in the country. This place can hold it’s own against some of the best in NYC. The food here is absolutely delicious. I’ve only been here twice. We ordered braised pork belly, kung pow chicken, eggplant in garlic sauce,, sweet and sour fish. Everything was excellent.

I ordered a mushroom stir fry, but what arrived was more of a slimy soup with raw mushrooms doing laps in it (see photo). Naturally, I asked if this was the right dish and they confidently responded something like “some stir fries render water.” I couldn’t eat more than a bite and will never step a foot in this restaurant.

Hands down my favorite restaurant in Maryland and perhaps the entire country. Do yourself a favor and order the spicy fish fillets.

Can’t comment much on the authenticity of this place, but it’s a staple for a reason. It’s the classic “chinese takeout” joint thats a safe, fallback option for Hopkins students. It’s open pretty late too, if I remember correctly.

The portion sizes are large and the prices are standard. Don’t expect to be surprised, but “there’s always Orient”.

I ordered Grubhub from here for the very first time and everything was packaged exceptionally. The food was flavorful, authentic, and spicy! I got the szechuan chicken and hot and sour soup.

The waiter is really sticking on tips, in a terribly impolite way. Ma’am pls, we will tip if we are going to.
