Stopped for lunch while driving through on a road trip, and it was the perfect stop!
They had one TV monitor in the main dining area that was only playing music (iHeart Radio Christmas Classics, which I thought was nice), so it was a calm atmosphere (not overstimulating). They also had all kinds of kids’ art on display which was cute. I thought the napkin holders were so cute (pictured).
The servers were attentive though short-staffed, but it was 2 days before Christmas. You can ask for soup samples before ordering, which I appreciated. I ordered Karen’s Brunswick Stew which had good flavors, meat, veggies, and tomatoes. I could definitely taste the Worcestershire sauce in the stew, but it was not too much. It was a little on the sweet side, too; I would have liked it more with less sugar. And the soup comes with a little square of focaccia bread which was very moist (and served cold if that matters to you).
They charge less if you pay with cash than if you pay with card. There is also an event space if you are looking for that. The restroom was pretty clean.
I would definitely make this stop again whenever I drive through again!

You HAVE to eat here if you’re anywhere near Rockingham! This is a no-kidding scratch kitchen with a rotating menu that is to die for. Five stars across the board, our waitress Jana was absolutely wonderful and the atmosphere is fabulous. They had the prettiest Christmas tree, the entire menu is wonderful (and picky toddler approved!). Prices are competitive, excellent value, will eat here again.

Stopped in for lunch today and tried their Chinese egg roll soup and it was SO GOOD. The flavors were literally dancing in my mouth. And that bread that came with the soup?!?! Omg so damn tasty. The staff member I encountered was very sweet and accommodating. I would definitely return and try the flight next time so I can try their other options. Thank you for a great lunch ladies!

I called to see if they had regular chicken noodle soup today. Even tho it wasn’t on the menu for the day, when I told them I had sick family, she said I will make you some! Outstanding caring for the community! In an hour I had chicken soup for my sick family!! How often will a restaurant do that? I’m so impressed!! And an added bonus the soup was fantastic!!

Tried this place recently for a takeout order and everything went smoothly. The staff was friendly and efficient when handling the order. The food was ready right when promised, which made pickup easy. They also did a great job with the packaging, keeping the meal secure and intact on the way home. A good option if you need a reliable to-go meal or sit down, loked the pleasant decor, some outside seating too, soups were phenomenal

Inventive and delicious soups, salads, and oanunis plus a brunch menu that is a couple of cuts above a standard brunch menu. We stopped on about 25 minutes before closing, and service was fast and friendly as was the food. We each had a cup of Brunswick Stew and a generous half salad. Delicious!
