With a passion for creating happy people and our love of coffee, we opened our first drive-thru espresso stand in Ashland Oregon in 1998. The demand for convenient, quality coffee & espresso grew and soon after opening our original location in Ashland, we expanded to surrounding cities in Southern Oregon. The Human Bean quickly established a reputation for having friendly and experienced baristas and offering the highest quality ingredients.

They were fairly rude the last few times I came here, I couldn’t tell why and they only gave me a coffee bean on my drink 1 out of 4 times, which is part of the fun going here so that was too bad. Pretty disappointing for how much I loved this place.

I paid 7 bucks for this drink and they didn’t even fill it to the top I will never go back to this place again I’m not paying 7 bucks for a drink that’s not full that’s bs and the lady that gave me my drink was very rude

Hailey was so great. She seemed as if she’s been working there for at least 5 years. I like to get an unusual drink. A watermelon Italian soda with no cream, but whip cream on top. I tried it and asked for an extra pump of watermelon and told her she doesn’t have to, but it’d really hit the spot if she poured a little of the drink out and filled it with whip cream beacuse I like to mix the whip cream in. She did it without hesitation. It was so good and appreciated. Very good service. I recommend.

Favorite coffee stand when visiting the Oregon Coast. Favorite drink is an Iced Haystack. The Pumpkin Snowy is a yummy fall choice. They always have oat milk available and the chocolate espresso beans are a lovely touch. The app makes tipping easy and connects to a credit card instead of preloading funds.

Decided to treat myself, on May 28th,2025 and regretted the $7 I gave away just to be disappointed. It was the worst cup of coffee I’ve had in a long time. Lukewarm,as the machine is a prefab coffee maker. Not barista made and steamed milk. It’s just a cheapo mini mart model with cheap coffee and the flavor brand they use…is yuk! No straws, no grip sleeve. Cheap flimsy cup. Lid seal was iffy. Never made such a bad review,but I had to because they went above and beyond. And my money spends good everywhere Sorry

Coffee order was done wrong….ordered a 24 oz with extra espresso shot…received a 16 oz with single espresso shot…was offered coffee beans as a compensation but no refund. Very expensive overall.
