For us, this was a mixed experience, and it’s clear this is a small family business, which makes it harder to be critical.

The lighting is stark and harsh, though the Italian music playing in the background is nice. We arrived on a Sunday just before 7:00 pm, and the server was friendly and welcoming. We had originally come for pizza but were told they do not make it on Sundays, which was surprising and a bit disappointing.

We hoped to order a bottle of wine but were told they were all out of bottles but we could order by the glass. So we went with our server’s suggestion and got glasses of Primitivo instead. Unfortunately, the wine was badly faulted and clearly had been open for too long, showing oxidation and volatile acidity with bruised apple and nail polish remover aromas.

The food itself was the highlight. The Insalata Mista was fresh and excellent, with a tangy, well balanced house dressing.

My Bucatini alla Carbonara was cooked perfectly al dente and full of flavor with crispy pancetta, Pecorino and egg yolk.

My wife’s Bucatini alla Norma also had beautifully cooked pasta, with good flavors from the eggplant, tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil, though she wished the eggplant had been creamier.

Overall, the cooking shows real care and potential, but the wine service, missing pizza, and harsh lighting hurt the experience. I truly hope they refine a few things, because the food itself is worth returning for.

I like to visit a restaurant at least twice before I write a review, the first time was an easy 5 star experience, unfortunately the second visit wasn’t nearly as pleasant. It was a Saturday evening and there was only one staff member running the front of house. I’m hoping this was the result of a last minute callout and not the new normal. He was absolutely doing the best he could, but service was incredibly slow and backwards. (Keep in mind there was maybe 6 tables sat, not a full house at all) A table who came in after us had their check before we got our meal, several tables who came in after us got their bread before us. Our Mozzarella Milanese was incredible and I’ll get it again! Our penne alla vodka was so great last time, my husband and I both ordered again. However our plates had two different sauces on them, I wish I took a photo of his for comparison but they were two separate colors and very different tastes! And now instead of being loaded with chunks of meat there’s some slices of prosciutto on top that tasted just, off? Both of our sauces tasted off as well, we couldn’t put our finger on it but we both described our whole meal as tasting “funky”. It wasn’t a pleasant taste and we won’t be ordering that again. With that being said, service is always friendly and the restaurant has a nice, clean, and relaxing environment. I’d be happy to give them another shot and hopefully have a better review!

I love Aldo’s trattoria!! The chef and owner is Italian and he’ll often come out and talk to us the patrons and i’ve even seen him sitting and talking to the people, presenting his specials, etc.

From the first day o wanted to try the chicken cacciatore but i kept ordering the specials. The other day I had the veal ravioli with funghi (mushrooms) in a marsala sauce. i thought that was my favorite! until i came back in the next couple days to have their lobster ravioli with shrimp, which was just as good or better! Then tonight, for my last meal before i move away, I finally had the chicken cacciatore!! The pasta was all dente like i’ve never had at any other Italian restaurant. The chicken and peppers, mushrooms, etc “ cacciatore” {which means hunter in Italian} sauce was delicious!!

A great family restaurant with great food and ambience!

Pulling into the the parking lot I was a bit concerned but was plesantly surprised! The food was INCREDIBLE!! I am a NY Italian Mama who recently visited Italy and was floored by the meal i just consumed. The sauce was to die for and the beef and pork melted in my mouth….you can even get gluten free past!!! The chef was so friendly and welcoming! Our server was attentive and kept track of everyone orders and needs.
I can not recommend this restaurant enough!

This restaurant is an absolute gem!

From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by Raul, our incredibly friendly waiter. Shortly after, the owner and chef, Aldo, came over to introduce himself. He took the time to tell us about the specials and offered some wonderful recommendations for both food and wine. As a delightful gesture, Aldo treated us to an appetizer of pork ragu gnocchi, which was absolutely delicious!
For the main course, we shared a perfectly cooked pork chop, chicken Francese, and the special of the day—grouper with mussels. Each dish was exceptional and exceeded our expectations. We left the restaurant thoroughly impressed and already planning our next visit. We’ll definitely be back and will be recommending it to all our friends.

Don’t drive past this hidden gem!

My boyfriend and I loved dinner here. We read the other reviews and thought “there’s no way”… fortunately we were wrong. The food is flavorful, the owner is great, service is great as well. We had the fettuccine allá bolognese and lasagna allá bolognese.

Takeout perfection from 94 Trattoria Italiana! My wife and I shared the Linguine Di Mare Al Cartoccio, and it was absolutely delicious—cooked perfectly, loaded with seafood, and still tasted fresh and flavorful even as takeout. Everything was ready exactly when they promised, and the pickup was smooth. If you want seafood pasta done right, this is the spot. We’ll be back.

The food was very good and I am hard to please. I felt they could use some pictures on the walls to brighten up the restaurant, but itherwise, I was happy with everything else. It was nice that the chef came out to visit the table to make sure everything was to our liking. We will definitely go back again.
