We’ve visited Tai Chi Cuisine in the past and not only was the food unmemorable, but the service was lousy even by Chinese restaurant standards. It’s no surprise that we haven’t returned in years so we were pleasantly surprised during a recent visit by all the changes – a new and much more extensive menu and improved service from different servers. Described on Google as a “casual eatery offering authentic Chinese favorites including buns and pancakes”, we quite enjoyed their scallion pancakes, leek cakes (although my recommendation would be to cut the chives smaller), the dumplings and the fried pork buns. Unfortunately we will never be ordering the Wonton in Chili Sauce and an overly sweet shredded pork dish ever again. The biggest wins were the Sautéed Matsusaka Pork with Chili Peppers which was bathed in oily goodness and all the cold dishes we tried – pig ear with chili sauce, shredded potatoes and shredded beans. With so much more to try off their expanded menu, we’ll def be back!

We arrived around 7 a.m. and waited almost an hour for our food, while delivery orders were served much faster than dine-in customers. When we finally received our food after waiting an hour, the beef roll was cold. Overall, the experience was disappointing.
What made it worse was that we had also ordered a pre-made cold potato dish that was already sitting at the counter, yet we didn’t receive it until after an hour of waiting. When I politely mentioned this to a staff member, a lady wearing glasses was extremely rude—pointing at me and asking what I wanted, then ignoring me for another 15 minutes. This level of service was unacceptable.

The good part of this place is they have many options for breakfast and lunch, Chinese savory crepes are pretty good and authentic. You usually don’t need to wait too long. But the service was just so so it seems like they are too busy to explain anything to you. If you understand the menu well and are familiar with the food then it is ok, otherwise it could be challenging. We ordered some soup, buns, a spicy dish, and beef noodles. Most of the things are alright, I wish the filling for the bun could be a little more. The spicy dish did not taste that good, feel like it has some spicy and msg that covers all other flavors. No one checked on us or helped while eating, we had to just get up ourselves to get water, spoon, take out boxes and bags.

We came here on a Saturday night (7:30pm) and the service and food were great. It wasn’t crowded but there were customers.
Several dishes were great: the sour and spicy vermicelli, chili dumplings, cold chicken, beef pancake were good.

Came here for a northern style Chinese breakfast, and it does not disappoint!
The food is authentic, and so flavorful. Don’t miss out on the soy bean milk, it’s all natural, nothing added in unlike most places.
The jianbing is definitely the dish that takes the top.
The atmosphere is lively, and the staff are very attentive. Definitely will be looking forward to the next time I come back to this neighborhood, so I have excuse to eat again

Stopped going there recently, simply because I was asked to pay tips by one of the ladies behind the counter, very awkward… I didn’t receive much service, it was a very basic restaurant, I didn’t think they should expect tips. So here we go, goodbye for good.

The food is delicious. Our kids love the pork dumplings and spring pancakes. The dumplings are fresh made.

Typical items for north china breakfast. The taste is not impressive but above average imo. The price for the popular item (crispy crepe) is definitely on the high end. $8 for the simple pancake that does not include much fillings, extra $2 or more for each other thing you want to add inside.

Our first time visit and their handmade, made to order dumplings are delicious. I had the ones with shrimp and pork. The house crepe are super yummy. It’s made with egg, sesame seeds and crispy wonton skin. You will need to order fried dough with pork floss along with it. The house crepe is a must order when you visit. Ordered the tomato beef noodle soup and the portion is huge with good price. The soup is flavorful. Will go again and try the pork bun later
