I stopped here on my way to Mt. Sherman. Wonderful place! I had the turkey pot pie soup, Greek salad, and wheat bread. Soup was tasty fresh and hot! The salad was great too with a yummy Greek dressing. The bread was awesome, I highly recommend!

The Soup Pot is a super cute spot with indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is covered. The pricing is a great deal and the food is delicious! The soups are gluten free, even the chicken noodle, until they add the noddles. They have a glute free bread option too.
We got a combo with a chicken Asian salad and the chicken tortilla soup with the chips on the side, and glute free bread. The Italian sub with chips was delicious too, the pickle what just a pickle on the side.

Heard about this place for a few years and finally had a chance to stop by. The Turkey Bacon Avocado sandwich was amazing! Both my daughter and I talked about it for long time and actually came back the next day to get it again! I actually opted for a grilled cheese and tomato soup after skiing in Breck and while it wasn’t as amazing as the sandwich the day before…it was wonderful and I would highly recommend it! I have eaten at almost every place in Fairplay and I feel safe in saying that the Soup Pot is now my #1 location for lunch!

Incredibly delicious soup spot that also has great sandwiches. The soup chef is very particular and has rules you must follow but it’s well worth it! Plus, there are great quotes and sayings posted around the restaurant but, as a rule, you aren’t required to read them.

Fresh & tasty salads & soups! Soup/salad combo meals with bread are just the right amount of food. Their grilled cheese sandwiches are also delicious! We eat here (or take it with us) every time we are in town.

#2 is the way to go!
We tried Tomato Basil & Pork Green Chili for our soups. Phenomenal flavor & the grilled cheese was crispy & cheesy.
Definitely hit the spot after hiking!

Driving into Fairplay, I was kind of wondering what kind of dining options were available in town. Lo and behold, I see a sign for The Soup Pot and decide to pull in, with a little bit of curiosity. Was very pleasantly surprised by this restaurant and its choices offered. There were 5-6 hot soups on offer, along with some traditional go-alongs like Grilled Cheese and salads. Decent amount of parking in front of the restaurant and decently priced items on the menu. The restaurant has several tables/booths, so we had no problem finding a place to sit down and eat (party of three, 11:30am on a Tuesday morning). Had the Chile Cheese Potato soup, which had a nice kick from the (presumably) green chile in the soup. Good little restaurant in Fairplay for a warm-up, especially on a cold/winter day. Recommended.

Absolutely amazing food. I’ve driven past quite a few times and always wanted to stop. Finally did today and I’m SO thrilled. We split a meatball sub and got the sausage potato soup and Thai carrot.
For those people giving a negative review because of their hours, quit. A small town, locally owned, restaurant may not always be able to be open due to various circumstances. Go eat there before you leave poor reviews.

Service was a bit slow with just one person behind the counter for lunch. Drink options are fairly limited. The bathroom had no way to dry hands and was a bit dirty.
The soup here IS amazing, so if you really want a great soup you can find it here. Just don’t expect a whole lot else. I got a soup and grilled cheese and devoured the delicious soup but didn’t even finish the grilled cheese because I was disappointed with it.
Staff is very friendly and the place has a small-town charm to it.
