We wanted to try Jamaican food and we got lucky with this place.
We walked in and felt very welcomed. This place appeared to be a family owned restaurant, they helped us decide on our order and we chose to eat in; we were lucky to get a table, there were only two available outside only. This place is mostly a to go style restaurant.
We ordered two 1/2 order chicken curry, and one dinner curry ox tail. What tremendous portions at a great price and unbelievable flavors. Food was fresh and served quickly, there were a lot of people but mostly to take their food to go.
This is an absolute hidden gem. There is not much to the atmosphere, they serve the food in styrofoam, even if you choose to eat outside you will get your food in a styrofoam container. They also provided us with cups and cold water in a bottle to serve ourselves.
We highly recommend this place and we look forward to returning.

This place is my absolute favorite for Jamaican Cuisine. I grew up around Jamaican and Trini neighbors. So I’ve had my fair share of “from home” cooked meals. Not all, but a good bit…And this place is authentic, delicious, portioned out as I’m family, and down right perfect. I go here every pay day to treat myself lol.

Sure, the food is deliciously tasty, but want to know what else is great? The warm and friendly vibes in this place! It’s a family owned business and you can tell just how much love they all pour into it. I wanted to stay the whole day just to be a part of the fun. Can’t wait to go back!

Overall great food having tried the jerk pork and chicken. Very large portions for a reasonable price. Friendly and helpful customer service. Restaurant is typically busy so best to call in your order and there also is no indoor seating. Not sure if you can sit outdoors but I don’t believe so.

Excellent food, very friendly staff, excellent service. Felt like I was at the dinner table at a family member’s house. Loved that family atmosphere. This was my first time going and I’ll definitely be back when I’m in town. I had the oxtail dinner with rice and peas. My friends had curry chicken and brown stew chicken. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal. They even let us stay and finish our dinner well past closing time. That was gracious and they didn’t have to do that. Shows just how much they care for their customers!!

Came here not expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised with their selection of patties. Not one kind of veggie patty but two!!! Got both and they were delicious although i prefer the cabbage, carrot, corn over the spinach one. I also ordered a jerk tofu and a curry tofu lunch portions with rice and peas. It will be a go to place for me, that’s for sure. Highly recommend it. And the service is top notch!

I just tried the Brown Stew Chicken here, and wow, it was so tasty! The spice was just right, and it totally reminded me of my grandma’s cooking. The place feels super cozy and welcoming, like you’re visiting family. Everyone was so friendly, especially Shereena with her bright, contagious smile that made my day. Honestly, this is the best Jamaican spot on 88th Street in Kendall. I can’t wait to come back!
