We stopped at the Lost Fox while driving the San Juan Skyway, and I’m so glad we did. It’s a small, local shop in a small town, but it had some of the best espresso I’ve had in a long time, not to mention the delicious cappuccinos with the amazing latte art. Not only was the coffee delicious, but the whole vibe of Lost Fox is so welcoming and warm. The smell when you step in the door instantly brought a smile to my face, which persisted the entire experience while chatting with the barista about the coffee and all the beautiful plants. Definitely take the opportunity to swing through here if you happen to pass through Dolores, but just make sure you get here before 1pm when they close–you don’t want to miss it!

This might well be the best cappuccino I’ve had in the region. The owner brews each cup maintaining a consistent high quality drink. The coffee is delicious, the froth perfect, and the latte art beautiful. Will definitely be stopping every time we are in Dolores. Tue ambience is sweet too with great local art on the walls. Highly recommend!

Hi I just wanted to write a review about how wonderful our experience was at the lost fox! We were completing a cross country trip from Maryland to Idaho and happened to stop at this particular coffee shop! The owner ( I don’t think we ever got his name) was awesome! Super friendly, kind and not to mention the coffee was delicious and wonderful. I got the maple latte. Not only was that entire experience wonderful but he also gave us a little insight of the area and told us about the free gondola ride near by. I wanted to thank him for telling us about that because it really was one of the highlights of our trip! We made pretty much an entire day out of it exploring the town. If it weren’t for the owner we wouldn’t have known about that at all! Thank you so much! If we are ever in the area we will be stopping back in! And anyone we know heading the Colorado they will also be informed! Hehehe also latte art was perfection and really love the attention to detail!

A hidden gem in Dolores! This tiny coffee shop may be small in size, but it’s big on flavor and warmth. The coffee is absolutely excellent — rich, smooth, and brewed with care. Their cookies are just as amazing, fresh and perfectly sweet, making them the perfect companion to your drink. The real highlight, though, is the staff: friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy to make your day a little brighter. If you’re passing through Dolores, do yourself a favor and stop here — you’ll leave with a smile.

Lost Fox offers the best espresso based drinks in Dolores in my opinion, and by some margin. The staff here are always friendly, the prices are reasonable (especially given the quality), and the sweet treats are also insanely good. It’s a small space but feels homey, plants and local art make hanging out inside while you have a yarn with friends an easy thing to do. Definitely do stop here if you are in need of a coffee, you won’t be disappointed!

Have been here a few times now, good experiences both times. Both the baristas have been friendly. When I dined in, the barista working was quite friendly and even offered to remake my drink when I said I didn’t love it. Good coffee! ☕️

Lost Fox is a gem!! Even though Dolores is a small town, this shop rivals any top-quality third-wave big-city shop. Great service, good atmosphere. Everything we tried was phenomenal.

I took a trip into Dolores specifically to visit Lost Fox Coffee, because the name and logo caught my eye. Foxes are my favorite animals, and I simply couldn’t help it.

I’m not joshing you when I say I encountered a little red fox jogging across the highway as I drove into town!
It *made my day*.

Lost Fox Coffee itself is a great coffee shop, so I’m glad I went. The espresso is amazing, and the chai is delightful. I’d like to try both together for a dirty chai next time I’m able to make it there.

The prices are better than Starbucks for what you get and taste WAY better. I’d love to be able to purchase some merchandise so I can further support local businesses. The logo is to die for.

A coffee mug is essential, but I’d love to put a sticker on my truck or laptop, too.

81301 “Easy Coffee” Roasters served in a simple modern specialty coffee menu. Don’t come here expecting some wild seasonal menu. I got a cap, and the milk was well textured, perfect 140°, and the espresso was perfectly balanced. The barista and I had a nice conversation, all while serving us quick. It’s amazing that there exists a modern specialty coffee shop in Dolores of all places.
