Highly recommended place from my daughter in law who’s from Lumberton. I got the birria tacos and my daughter got a burrito. Food was delicious! Prices were reasonable. Service was fast! If ever you’re in the area, try this place!!

Small cute Mexican restaurant with great service and delicious food. Chicken soup was a killer, we also loved their shrimp covered with white cheese. Margaritas are strong so be aware if you have to drive, lol.

We enjoyed our dinner at the San Jose Mexican Restaurant. Service was prompt and courteous. I had the whole Tiliapia fried with salad. My husband had a taco salad. Margaritas were good. This is a hidden gem!

Went there last night. Food was definitely soggy, and when we wanted a replacement plate, we were given looks of discussed like we were in the wrong I go to Elizabethtown San Jose all the time, and the food never looks like that I will not ever be returning. that was the wasted $70 I had ever spent in my life.

-Guacamole was TO DIE FOR. I love guac, and this is some of the best I’ve had in a while. Just be prepared to spend 6.99 on an appetizer
-Steak tacos tasted amazing, but the meat was a little tough to chew.
-Shrimp tacos were also good, but I thought it was a bit too cheesy for what I was expecting on a taco (I think there was queso on it for all you queso fans).
Service:
-waiter was fantastic, no complaints.
Restroom:
-Not the cleanest, but definitely not dirty. Easy 6/10 for cleanliness.
Overall, thoroughly enjoyed the visit!

No line, no waiting! A bilingual hostess greeted and provided a booth and menus. In seconds they brought a basket of chips & a mini carafe of salsa. I was really pleasantly surprised that they offer a great selection of lunch items during the week & Saturdays, if you miss the cut off time they charge a dollar extra to order it. The food was served speedy, generous portions and very tasty!
