Their menu of kabobs is still limited (so some of their images on Maps are not proper representation of what they currently sell).
I hope they cook their kabobs more and provide bigger portions of meat, specially for chicken kabobs.
The first time I ordered koobideh with rice. The rice was undercooked, but I didn’t complain and just let it go.
The second time I came with a friend. We ordered a sultani (koobideh and chicken kebab) and also zereshk polo with chicken. The portion of the Zereshk polo was extremely small, not even a full chicken leg, just a very small piece of chicken. The sauce had almost no flavor at all. There wasn’t even a hint of salt, lemon, or pepper. It basically tasted like diluted tomato paste.
The chicken itself was completely bland.
I’ve had the koobideh here twice. The first time it was cooked but didn’t really taste like proper koobideh, it lacked the flavor you expect from seasoned meat and fat. The second time, the koobideh was actually undercooked and still red inside. I showed the waitress the inside of the meat, but nothing really changed. The chicken kebab was also bland and slightly undercooked.
The prices are also very high. We paid at least $64 including tip, which is a lot considering the food quality and just for 2 orders.
What was most disappointing was the service. Sara(the manager) just said excuses. At the end they said that if something is wrong we should say it earlier, even though I had already shown the waiter that the koobideh was undercooked.
Overall, very disappointing food, portions, and service for the price.
Sara also put us in a very awkward situation regarding the tip. A $13 tip had already been automatically added to the bill, and since the food was not good, we didn’t feel it was appropriate to leave a tip. Even though they said we could take the full $13 back, they asked us about it several times in a way that made us feel uncomfortable and pressured. In the end, because the situation felt so awkward, we only took back $6.
