Wow, Modern Corner Grill never fails to impress and I mean impress. My wife and I chose MCG for our Valentines dinner. We enjoyed five different varieties of oysters on the half shell, all very good, the one west coast offering was the best. Bread service was a great accompaniment. Wife had a bowl of MCG onion soup, generous serving, that was top tier in presentation and flavor. I ordered six addional oysters during her soup selection. She ordered the crab cake appetizer for her entrée, large portion, lots of crabmeat, but perhaps too much sauce both underneath and on top of the cakes for my taste. STEAK! My 14 oz. NY strip entrée was cooked to perfection (MR), tender, perfectly seasoned and very flavorful. I generally prefer a bone-in ribeye, but not here. Steak also came with a large baked potato. Service was a small weakness, but on a holiday evening with a packed dining room and bar area, perhaps I’m being a bit too critical. Modern Corner Grill is on my Saturday rotation list.

Friday night visit during Arizona Restaurant Week. We had reservations and were seated right away. The service was really good. I liked the decor and design of the restaurant. The food was pretty good as well. The chicken noodle soup’s noodles were thicker than I like but overall the soup wasn’t bad. The house style mussels and house burger were our entrees. I would recommend both dishes. I’d return to this restaurant to try other things on the menu.

This place gives me an old school fancy bar vibe and I Love It! It’s warm and cozy, has a great bar seating area and the drink options are plentiful. The food is amazing, but the mashed potatoes are the big winner. I mean, the steak is great too, but those potatoes…. I highly recommend this place and the staff will make you feel like your walking into Cheers.

We eat out a lot. I have been to many lovely restaurants but the meal we had at Modern Oyster bar was literally among the top 3. First the ambience is lovely. It’s cozy and upscale. The drinks were top notch. I ordered the salmon which was cooked exactly correctly and my husband had the delicious scampi. Both with beyond delicious. The service was impeccable. They even treated us to dessert for our anniversary. . I’d encourage you to dine there..

Yeah so this place is legit Foodie worthy but chill for a great weekday night out too! We’re obsessed with this restaurant! Food is amazing, great price for culinary quality! Highly recommend their ribs, burgers, filet & lobster, caesar salad, oyster sampler, fried oysters – just to name a few. Had their sea bass special tonight and it was the best we’ve ever had. We don’t even do desserts but their butterscotch creme brûlée is iconic! Everything is Super fresh, on point! The bar atmosphere is lively. Best martinis we’ve had in awhile and wine list is super accommodating! Modern is amazing!

Great place, easy to find. Reasonably priced drinks and wine list. I had the Reisling and Chilean sea bass 7oz it was fabulous. My date had the pork ribs and french fries and said it was the most delicious fries he had ever had. They are freshly prepared cut russet potatoes. Not the frozen stuff. The key lime pie was a delicious dessert as well as the French toast bread pudding. All the servers worked well together making it a seamless service for us. Everything was excellent!!
I hope this review helps draw more customers in. We ended the night at 9pm just in time for the Princess fireworks that can be seen from the delightful, romanticly, lit back patio.

This is a nice,upper-middle priced place for dinner..the menu offerings are broad. From filets to pasta and some oyster choices.
Wife had filet and loved it. She orders filet often so that’s a compliment to this kitchen. I had shrimp scampi and it was excellent. Great flavor. If I had to improve it, I would add two more shrimp. It only has three. (Kinda skimpy). My mojito was not great, but the ladies like their expresso martinis and my son’s old fashion was outstanding.
We were blessed by eating on Christmas day where a local patron picked up the entire restaurant tab!
The bar has a cool old school kind of vibe to it.

This restaurant has become one of my favorites. The food is incredible, and the ambiance is perfect for me. The restaurant is filled with cozy booths and warm dim lights, creating a picturesque setting. The wood fired oysters are a must have. Recently, they updated their menu, and there were a few items that I think should have been kept, like mushrooms. I hope they offer a few lighter sides in the future.

Yesterday was our second visit for lunch and we’re so happy to have Stephen as our server, again. He is so nice, knowledgeable about everything on their menu and can make great recommendations if you would like. I ordered the Crab Louis salad, and it was a very large and generous portion included the lobster meat and the home made dressing, similar to a ranch was great! We also ordered their corn chowder and lobster bisque and it is chock full of corn, bacon bits and lobster pieces. Amazing soup. We are going to come more often, as they food is so good, far better than many around here. And the staff is very welcoming and appreciative of your patronage. If you haven’t dined here, come and you will be happy you came!
