It’s a nice quaint restaurant. Deceiving from how the outside looks but the food is amazing. I primarily go for the sushi; today I had the Deer Park Roll and the Tuna Tataki, both amazing dishes. Plan to go back as soon as possible and try their Sweet Corn Soup and the Tuna Pizza. The whole staff are so sweet and welcoming. I plan to come as much as possible before I move. And when I do, I will dearly miss this place and the people. Even the sake selections are amazing. The green tea I usually get is a delight.

Been eating in this area for quite some time but never checked out Imperial Orchid until now! I enjoyed it!! Portions were really great and I found the food was tasty. The servers are also super attentive and friendly. The Kani salad was impressively yummy and I like that they bring out the traditional noodles while you wait. Great first impression Imperial Orchid! Thanks for the nice date night! Also Happy Chinese New Year!

My family and I had an absolutely delightful dining experience at Imperial. The service provided was nothing short of exceptional, with staff members attending to our needs promptly and with a smile. The cozy atmosphere of the restaurant added to the overall enjoyment of our evening. We found the dining experience to be both comfortable and relaxing. We highly recommend Imperial for anyone seeking a top-notch dining experience.

Food, service and atmosphere! All of it, 5 stars plus! Nothing short of phenomenal. My husband and I went there this afternoon for the first time and it’s gorgeous inside, there are fish tanks with coy in them, the art on the walls, the music, the booths and tables, lighting, the whole set up was eye pleasing, clean and comforting. The people were very friendly and the food was fresh, hot and there was hardly any wait. I got the spicy crunchy yellowtail hand roll, crab rangoons, and chicken with garlic sauce with veggie fried rice. It was filling and I felt great afterwards. You got yourselves a customer for life!

I have been coming to Imperial Orchid since the late 90s, I have had big family gatherings to a quiet dinner at the bar…Back to when Shea was the owner, they had Excellent food, one of the best on Long Island, Shea was the best, no matter if I were there to dine in or take out he would make me a House special drink which was my favorite without me asking and always shook my hand hello and goodbye..I hope he is well.. So I moved away for a while and had been back here and there, now I moved 1 Town over so why not go back to my Favorite Chinese food spot, I have been back atleast 5 times or more, there is always something wrong or forgotten, the food is not even close to the same quality, last visit I order Boneless Chicken, the chicken was literally like rubber, I could not chew it into pieces, GROSS, Not edible… There pork fried rice used to be Awesome, a staple item for them is horrible, Egg roll was so greasy the bottom of the wax bag had a teaspoon of oil, the wonton were rock hard as if fried 3 times, on my next visit after the “rubber” Boneless chicken I had explained the issue to the Lady who is definitely the owner or Manager I expected her to do something, I was picking up a combo meal, she could have said no charge as it was less then the rubber chicken dish I didn’t/ couldn’t eat. She did Absolutely nothing. I told her I would not be back after 30+ years. My mistake I tried them again last night, simple combo Sesame chicken, The entire dish was swimming in the Sesame sauce which was extremely thick and so sweet, the rice tasted like salty sesame soy sauce, again the egg roll was greasy and old.. NEVER AGAIN, WHAT ASHAME…Sorry this was so long but I am truly upset, a Great place gone bad…
P.S I was just reading other reviews and they are all good which upsets me that I wrote this bad review, I hate bad reviews. That being said I am going to give them 1 more chance, if my meal is good I will delete this review. Fingers crossed…

This was our first time here and I am so happy we tried it. The interior was very clean and the staff was very friendly.

We stopped in about 6:15 on a Saturday night and it was starting to fill up.

We went there for Chinese but I had no idea they had Sushi & Thai as well.

I am very picky about Chinese food and really only stick to few dishes that I like.

We went with our old stand by.. Chicken & String beans (the husband’s dish) & I got Shrimp Mei Fun.

As you will see from the photos of the meals, they did not skimp on the servings.

They were by far absolutely delicious and one of the best for probably very simple dishes.

The food actually had a taste, not like some other places that’s just oily and tastes like a burnt wok.

The food came out hot, fast and fresh. We definitely will be back again and give the Sushi or Thai a try. ( Which BTW others around us ordered and seemed to enjoy)

Best Fried Pork Dumplings I’ve EVER had! No joke. Take out srrvice was fast too. Unfortunately my fried rice wasnt really cooked. Also, pieces of sesame chicken were huge and tough to bite/chew. On the cheaper side.

Chinatown comes to Long Island…
Yep this could be the closest you’ll get to an authentic Chinatown meal without trucking into the city! Take out has been good to us, the General Tso’s chicken is the best I’ve had in or out of the city, nice tender chunks of white meat chicken with peppers, some hot red szechuan mixed in, and a spicy tangy sauce, just so good, we choose this everytime! All the usual dishes you’d expect too, like Egg Foo Young, Chicken and Broccoli, etc. All so good as is their B-B-Q Spare Rib and shrimp toast.
We will be back to get the Peking Duck, another NYC favorite, so we’ll let you know how it is, stand by.
Oh, the Thai fried rice is awesome, pineapple pieces, cashews, so delish! Lots of other Thai specialties too.
Save trip take out here.
Or, even eat in their nice dining room.

We ordered on a Monday, so I don’t know if some of our items were leftover & reheated or refried, but we threw away most of it. The sweet & sour chicken was good. But the rice was dried out and tasted odd. The scallion pancakes were SO oily, crunchy, and just inedible. I ordered the steak pad Thai and the meat was really rubbery. Couldn’t eat it. Really surprised since it was 4.4 stars but it’s like we ordered from another place entirely.
