We ordered the classic beef and lamb gyro with fries. The gyro flavor was great, and the fries were hot and fresh. My only critique is that the meat was surprisingly cold, especially compared to the original location. But since they just opened, I’m sure it’s just a timing issue they’ll work out.
Overall, it’s a great addition to Brunswick.
The service was incredibly slow, and it definitely didn’t feel like a “to-go” quick service restaurant. I ordered online and waited over an hour for two gyros. Nikos should stick to a restaurant and definitely not expand into this type of quick service.
When I finally arrived to pick up my order at my scheduled time, I waited another 30 minutes. All I could hear was the staff gossiping about their boyfriends, and I had to give my name to the cashier at least five times. I could even hear the cooks yelling, “What are we doing with 152?” my order. I told the cashier, “That’s me, I want the food I ordered and have been waiting for.”
They finally apologized for the wait but offered nothing in return. I was about to ask for a concession, like a drink, but they literally dumped the food on the counter and turned away. Tossing me a free drink or a discount on future orders could have saved this review.
Avoid this place unless you want to waste your time. It doesn’t seem like they value customer service at all.
On a side note, the Greek salad comes in a ketchup container. The portion is tiny and a rip-off.
I’m also not really accustomed to Gryos, but felt like there was enough taziki to make it a drink.

I had a great experience at Niko’s Gyros. From the moment I walked in, the place was spotless — and not just the dining area. You can see straight into the kitchen from the register, and everything looked clean and well-kept. That always earns points in my book.
I also appreciated the digital menu display with clear photos of the entrées. It made ordering easy and gave a good sense of what to expect. The woman at the register was polite, welcoming, and made the whole interaction pleasant.
I ordered the lamb/beef gyro with a side of stuffed tater tots. Let’s start with the tots — they were massive! You get five, but each one is about the size of three regular tots. They came out hot and the flavor was fantastic. Definitely not your average side dish.
The gyro itself had a wonderfully flavorful tzatziki sauce, and the meat was delicious. The only minor note was that the meat wasn’t as hot as I expected. That may have been because I got it home before eating it, or perhaps it was prepared a bit ahead of the tots, which were piping hot. Either way, the flavor absolutely delivered.
Overall, it was a very positive experience. Clean environment, friendly service, generous portions, and great flavor — I’ll definitely be back.
And the gyro… WOW. Easily one of the best I’ve had. Perfectly seasoned meat, fresh toppings, soft warm pita — so yeah I ate it in about 2 minutes.
This is a must spot to go!!
Unfortunately, this location does not accept American Express, which created an inconvenience for us. One of our employees had to use their personal card, as we typically use our company American Express for business purchases. That was disappointing, as we would have loved to continue ordering regularly.
If they begin accepting American Express in the future, we would gladly return and add them back into our weekly lunch lineup. The food truly was excellent — we just hope the payment options expand!
The gyro was fresh with no gristle, fresh tomatoes, red onions and Tzatziki sauce. Tzatziki sauce was delicious, nice blend. Could have used a few more onions but the balance was perfect. The fries were a beer battered style fries which complimented the gyro. Fries were delicious, held their own and weren’t soggy.
The gyro pizza was fantastic, piled high with toppings. I was surprised the crust was able to hold it all.
The staff while busy, were very friendly and apologized for the wait on my fries. Worth it if you ask me
Brunswick needed a gyro place and im glad Nikos was able to fill the void. I will be back as their reuben pizza looks delicious as well as their other gyro options. Would definitely recommend if you are in the need for some great food!
