We had such a lovely dinner at Don Chico’s! I had been dying for a Venezuelan restaurant so I couldn’t wait to get out here and it did not disappoint. They were so nice and attentive and the food was phenomenal. I will definitely be back! The owners could not be kinder- talk to them and hear their story if you can.

Unassuming spot with incredible food!
We had a party of six on a Saturday night and were sat in a timely manner, drinks were great, food came out pretty quickly and the quality was exceptional.
We had a chance to chat with the owner and found out this is a fairly recently opened spot and that made it even more impressive to see just how good and high quality everything was.
We ordered drinks, appetizers, mains, and desserts and there was not a single thing that we didn’t like, everything was fresh and super tasty.
We’re not from MD, we’re visiting from VA and happened to stay at the Sonesta Suites nearby and wanted a place we could walk over, this was a great find and I would absolutely come back if we’re ever in the area again!! 10/10

New restaurant! Heard it’s been open only for a month or two. Very relaxing atmosphere. Very homie :). The owners Francisco and Johanna are so welcoming! As for the food. My favorite is the Carne guisada !! Reminds me of my mom’s cooking. Reasonable prices. Nice spot. 🙂

My friends and I stopped by after work for some drinks and apps and were very pleasantly surprised. The owner and his wife were there and took care of us right from the start. Every food item we ordered was Delicious and the drinks were great. It’s very unassuming from the outside but the interior is nicely decorated and there’s a beautiful chandelier. The experience was wonderful all around, thank you so much for the round of drinks and we can’t wait to come back and try more amazing food!! We for sure will be back 🙂 (Megan- from my partners Google haha). EVERYONE COME TRY DON CHICO’S.

I just tried this restaurant and as a Venezuelan I honestly felt like I was going to cry from happiness. The food is absolutely amazing, authentic, flavorful, and made with so much love.

What makes this place even more special is the story behind it and the owner’s vision. He shared his plans and dreams with us and it’s clear how committed he is to bringing the very best to the community. I’m so grateful that we finally have more variety in Latin cuisine beyond the usual Mexican and Salvadoran options.

I feel lucky to have this great food so close to home. I cannot wait to come back again and again. 100% recommended!

Went on a whim as we’re visiting from out of state and this happened to be in walking distance of our hotel (Sonesta Suites), the owner was super friendly and welcomed us even tho we didn’t have a reservation and had a larger party (6) and went in somewhat later in the night.
We had a little bit of everything, everyone ordered either drinks, appetizers, entrees, desserts, or a mix of it all
The empanadas were incredible, the meat was super flavorful and they were nice and crispy
The grilled octopus was an absolute flavor bomb, it’s listed as an appetizer but be prepared to not want to share because it’s ridiculously good and you’re gonna want it all to yourself!!
We were just recently in Portugal and this meal brought us right back, the fried yucca was perfect, and you should ask for a side of their green sauce because it has an amazing flavor profile, and we ended up putting it on everything.
Didn’t try the wings or burgers but my friends ordered them and they looked really good, tried some of the asparagus soup and tho it can sometimes be quite bland they absolutely nailed it and it was just as good as everything else.
Tried several desserts and the flavor and quality was top notch as well, the mango mousse was super delicate, the flan was basically perfect, the lemon mascarpone cake thing was rich but somehow light at the same time, but the real star of the table ended up being the tres leches which became everyone’s favorite.
All in all I would definitely recommend this hidden gem, and would suggest checking it out ASAP because I’d be really surprised if this spot doesn’t become super popular and busy, cause again the food was incredible and the atmosphere was just perfect! Wish we lived closer cause I would love to come back!!

My family lives around the corner, though my husband and I live in NYC now. We saw there was a new place and wanted to support a local business. It was amazing! I got the lentil soup and empanadas and it was so good! Everyone in my group enjoyed our food, service was great, and the owner was very nice. We highly recommend!

I love this place. The food is amazing. Not decent but amazing. Authentic Venezuelan food like what your grandma would make if she grew up there. Francisco and Johanna make you feel like you are visiting family and after a night with them you want to be their family. Tell them Carlos and Lisa sent you.
