We’re an independent restaurant located one block east of downtown West Bend, 110 Wisconsin Street. We’re proud to be the favorite for locals to meet friends for food and/or drinks. We serve 32 different beers on tap, many specialty drinks including flights of wine, blood mary’s, and Moscow mules. The pizza is made with top line ingredients including Grande Cheese. We open every day except Monday at 11:00 for lunch and the weekends we open at 8:00 AM for breakfast. We have food and drink specials everyday. Come see us today!

Super cute friendly place. We were seated right away. Food came out quickly. Waitress was sweet and friendly.
Food was very bland. Definitely needs more seasoning. We ordered bruschetta- looked great but very lacking on taste. Clam chowder was ok – ordered a bowl that came half filled.
Fish tacos were very lacking in taste/seasoning. Sane with burger but burger was cooked as asked.

Both the breaded and beer battered fish were very tasty and flakey, not dry. I was happy that I received the extra tartar that asked for (online carryout). Attention to detail is important! Atmosphere only 3 star BECAUSE as someone IN the F&B industry, I know how important it is that you acknowledge a customer when they enter the restaurant. Every time. Just a “Hello” from the bartender when they see you is enough. The hostess appeared and was lovely and pleasant.
Overall, fish fry was delicious and would eat again!

I was surprised at how fast our food came out. Everything was delicious and our server was personable and funny. She did a great job. The food was good. We shared some sweet potato fries, had a wrap and tenders. Elevated bar fare. The space is decent sized but also quaint…. It was relatively busy for a thursday night but seating is spaced well.

Brought 9 people tonight for dinner. It was Prime Rib night but not everyone got it. We had Bayou Mac, 2 prime ribs, cod tacos, 2 wings, French Dip and burgers (also different drinks). Service was great and the food was incredible! Best Prime Rib in town by far! Will be bringing more people back for sure!

I’m sorry, I really wanted to like this place, the location is great on the East Bank of the river on the bike trail and the patio is nice. Prices have increased considerably since the previous reviews. $30 entre. The ribs look great but were inedible. They did not come with a knife and I had great difficulty cutting them with a table knife, and on a plate that was too small to contain the food, which flew off onto the wire table .I’m afraid they were almost impossible to chew! I had asked my server what kind of ribs they were. She checked and told me they were back ribs. They were not, they were spare ribs, which I grew up on and loved, but one must cook the (@) out of them before they ever see a grill! They were smoky and well seasoned and had a delicious sauce, and adequate sides, but this was not a good choice today. The prime rib is only on Saturday, I hope they are worth it.

This place was a pleasant surprise. Just off the main drag in downtown West Bend. This place and beautiful decor. It has an amazing looking staircase going upstairs to another dining room and bar area. The food had great presentation and done very well. The mozzarella sticks are next level. I would honestly try every appetizer. The turkey Panini I had was delicious the spinach and artichoke dip on. It was a lot creamy and delicious. My friend got the Ruben which she very much enjoyed. We will definitely be back to try more items on the menu.

Writing this as a heads up to other customers.
Although their menu states breakfast on Saturday & Sunday, they do not do breakfast in the winter – at least that is what we were told. We got there as soon as they opened and they lost at least two tables that morning due to this.
I will say the woman who spoke with us was very respectful and understanding so we appreciated that.
Their parking lot was not plowed and their menus are pieces of printer paper in binder sheets. Was not impressed.
We did not stay since we wanted breakfast so I cannot rate the food.

A cool location in downtown West Bend. They have a nice patio, bar, and dining area. The food tasted good and everyone enjoyed their meal. Some of the portion sizes were larger than expected. Our service was very strange, our server was taking care of our table inside as well as several tables on the patio. They had a lot of staff working, but it seemed a bit disjointed, several people checking in with us, but not paying attention to details.

This was our first time here, came specifically for the all you can eat fish fry. I was very impressed at the cleanliness of the interior and the friendliness of the greeter.
The tap beer menu is incredible! The food came out quickly and everything was perfect and delicious!! I can’t wait to come back so many more times to try everything else on the menu!!

We have been visiting Gary’s Place at least weekly for about as long as it has been here. Good food. Great service. They are like family. However, at the bar, you’ve got to keep your wits about you. Some strange characters stroll in and the bartenders welcome all of them (see photo).
