If you like the atmosphere of those small-time bars, which I actually feel relaxed in and enjoy, and you enjoy a good Prime rib at a good price, this place is for you!

My family will not be going back. The fish tasted strong oh baking soda. My husband and daughter could not eat it. We told the waitress and no correction was made to bill. Paid $82 for something we could not eat. The atmosphere was also a major issue for me. It was so loud in there I couldn’t enjoy a sit down meal.

Food was pretty good. The atmosphere is a true bar and grill though. Don’t expect to eat a meal in peace. The bar is literally feet away from the tables. The wait time was a little long for my liking. Give it a shot, might be good for you.

I received a gift certificate for schunk’s West Hill grill and made my visit for the first time to try the food. My first thought was where in the world is this place! Once I got to the location it was clear that it was kind of hidden and if you didn’t know about it it would be difficult to find. Upon entering the place it was obvious that the place was dated and a little dark. However the wait staff was wonderful and the food was delicious!
I had a delicious fish fry with fresh cut french fries and delicious coleslaw and macaroni salad. Take a trip check it out!

While the beer cheese is to die for, the service could be better. You might have to remind the server of your order when the food comes out, but they’re quick to fix it. Also, if you order a steak, it might come out more cooked than desired, ie my med rare steak came out med well done with little to no pink. It still tasted fantastic though.

Highly recommend a trip to the top of the hill in East Eden to enjoy a great menu of seafood, steaks and other traditional pub fare. The server was great and the food was delicious all at reasonable price. The fries are hand cut too!
