I eat here alot and my only thing that could make me complain would be every once in a while the bread isn’t as fresh as it should be,but if that’s the worst of it then I’d take that over most of the super inconsistent places around town.
Some of the best Mac and cheese especially when its hot and you add it to a pulled pork sandwich.
Best green beans around on the average and good days but on the good days the green beans are some of the best anywhere when they don’t have the vinegar taste to them.
I usually get the pulled pork but the pulled chicken is equally as good.
And all the sides are good to great and if you like mashed potatoes their cheese and bacon potatoes are great.
The sauce is definitely one of my favorites because its almost like a mix of less spicy open pit and sweet baby Ray’s mixed.
I’ve been eating here for 3 decades and just like alot of places they’ll had a slightly off day or maybe hire someone that they’ll think will work out but then they make something wrong and 1 thing or another will be off but 98.5 percent of the time I eat here I enjoy it and not upset I should of gotten something else like most places in town.
I’ve not had the ribs or the chicken besides the pulled chicken so I can’t speak on those but anything pulled and the sides are usually always great and the sauce has always been good.
I know some days the greens or green beans will be kinda sour but on the days they aren’t they’re excellent.
Not sure if they still do but they use to grown their own green beans in the field out back and maybe other things.
So that means no preservatives and better for you and your family.
The first big question? How soon can I come back??!? This is amazing. I got the XL porky mac work small side of baked beans. He got the small (1 lb) rib tips with small side of Mac and cheese and baked beans.
This Is Barbecue. Flavorful. Fall off the bone goodness. He’s pulling the tips of the bones with his fingers to do them in sauce. The Mac and cheese this thick gooey goodness as are the baked beans.
So much more to try!
I’ll be back.
I ordered Rib tips and Mac, the accompanying BBQ sauces were flavorful. The rib tips were a little hit-or-miss, some pieces were perfectly cooked/well seasoned, others were dry and overdone. The Mac had good flavor but was a bit homogeneous in texture. I would order from Divine BBQ again. The ladies working here were very nice.
HERE TO UPDATE: 12:00 am- 4:00am Either the mac or the beans have me a run for my money if you understand me .
