The place may be small, but the food is amazing—super fresh ingredients and very generous portions.

Very disappointed, tonight was the first time eating here since the new owners took over, the take out containers are smaller was the first obvious change, ordered 3 combo’s like I always did in the past ( combo 1,2 and 3) and 2 wonton soup, when I got home the cover on one of the wonton soup came off and spilled over, all 3 came with chicken fried rice and there wasn’t a piece of chicken in any of the 3 combo’s ( they used to have the best) and it was very very bland even the Color was bland, the egg rolls were soggy and the insides had a kick of something, the ribs tasted like they were a week old with a burnt taste, the chicken balls although much smaller now were actually pretty good and the wonton soup was also pretty good, this is the first time I’ve ever written a review but felt I had to in hopes that maybe the owners see it and try to do better going forward.
Won’t be back until I hear that things have improved.

Today we stopped in for a C2 and C8

Chicken rice was bland along with the small chicken balls and watered down cherry sauce.

Food was hot, egg rolls and the ribs were amazing. Portion sizes were on point and prices were reasonable.

Atmosphere hasn’t changed much in a decade and it was a bit run down. The staff were prompt.

I have found a new favorite Chinese place!! Most places only offer combos with meat in them but Wok’s Taste has 2 veg ones and lots of veggie choices. The ginger tofu may be one of the best things I’ve had from a Chinese restaurant. Next time, I’m ordering the full size of that! The vegetable spring rolls are also amazing. I upgraded the rice from plain steamed rice to vegetable fried rice. Worth the trip to Grand Bay.

I ordered the shrimp chow mein and as I know it comes with nuddles, but mine was non. So why did I pay like $18 for only greens? The smell is burned and fried water the scent reminds me of rising frypan after cooking. After reading some comments I am scared now to eat it …had few bites but am wondering if I should eat it. Somehow feels like am having leftovers. My dish in the carton box is so socking wet that went through on my car chair, I was going to have Shanghai nuddles but they don’t have it in menue. I am disappointed wasted my money. In the other place I used to get big ( huge) dish fresh not smelling like burned food.
Am feeling like to go back and return the food and pray to not get food poisoning. I wish I could attach the picture of it how it looks like. Greens in burned water.

We have been eating their Chinese food for nearly 6 years. We have never been dissapointed regardless of what we have ordered. On top of that the wonton soup is awesome and I enjoy the deep fried wontons as well.

Wok’s Taste tastes like they have given up.
We ordered two combo plates which included fried rice, chicken balls, beef and vegetables, honey garlic spare ribs, and and egg roll.

The spare ribs were great, lots of meat and a good sauce.
The beef and vegetables consisted of mostly celery, and very thick chinese cabbage stalk.
The chicken balls could have used a few extra seconds in the fryer. The chicken was fully cooked because the amount was so small, but the batter was not. A very light colour and crispy on the outside, but on the inside all you could taste is under cooked batter.
The egg roll was soggy, but did taste alright.
The fried rice has to be the worst fried rice I’ve ever tasted. The colour was a very light brown colour. And the flavour was almost non-existent, very little soy sauce was used. It had a flavour of plain white rice. This rice could have used some vegetables, or anything else for that matter. I did find 2 very small pieces of egg in the rice, but that was it, not even a bean sprout or piece of onion.
