It’s good pizza for good prices, and I’ve never had to wait long for my food. They also have delicious milkshakes and old fashioned sodas. It’s a great atmosphere for spending time with friends and getting a sense of the community. They also do a discount for students if you ask for it.

It really pains me to rank this establishment as only two stars. I love this place and the potential for it is out of this world. As other commenters have noted the food is delicious and the wait staff (when they aren’t pressed to the wire) are incredibly friendly and bring a hometown feel to the place. Herein lies the issue: every time we have been, they have been understaffed leading to long wait times, poor service, and stressed arguments between the only two people working which does not really create an atmosphere conducive to enjoying your meal especially given the ice cream parlor arrangement where everything is on full display. The last time we were there, the waitress was not only serving in the restaurant but also delivering pizzas around town at the same time! A five star establishment when it’s not busy – a regrettable two star when it is.

I have been going to Sim’s for 30 years. It’s an authentic and authentically run historic soda fountain with the perk of delicious pizza and sandwiches. Their pizza is the best I’ve had and I’ve been around — it’s better than anything I’ve eaten in Brooklyn or Chicago.
