Great place, great service, great food, great people. Places like this are rare. $30 for 2 people, same prices as McDonald’s, but for way better food. You might as well come here. We will be back as often as we can.

So cute and retro! The soups are delish, my son said the blt reminded him of when my Mom made them for him. The Italian sandwich and Sweet potato fries are really good! The service is great too. They have baked goods on Tuesdays, and ice cream desserts everyday. We’ve been there a few times and will go again. The butterscotch malt was delicious

Small town appeal at its finest! The food was fresh and well prepared. Staff was super friendly. I would definitely suggest stopping in for lunch, pie or even some delicious ice-cream if you are in town. Clean and cozy place for burgers and shakes.

Tara’s Cafe and Malt Shop is a delightful café in Belton’s Olde Towne. Come for the atmosphere and stay for the milkshakes. The staff is friendly and helpful. The milkshakes are delicious. I give them a 8 out of 10. There was no cherry on top, or in my case, a blackberry on top. While I was there a blind woman was there with her granddaughter. I took that as a handicap accessible stamp of approval.
I sampled 3 of their burgers. The Jiffy burger, a regular hamburger, and a Bison Burger. All the burger came plain, with condiments on the side. Which made the burgers look basic and did not excite me. I give the plain burgers 5 out of 10. With the condiments, I give them a 7 out of 10. I could not tell if the burger buns were toasted. Which led to a very boring mouth feel when I tried the burgers without condiments. Once I added the lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle, to the burgers they had a lot more textures and flavors for me to enjoy.

Had the ruban, sweet potato fries, and fried mushrooms. The Ruban was nothing special but it was good kinda light on the meat, fries and mushrooms were on point. The ladies were great hosts it was slow so they kept up conversation. The only down side is that the sweet tea I herd her tell one of the other workers that it was two days old so not refreshed they keep it till it runs out sounds like. I still drank it cause I don’t care it was tasty.

I was walking out of the DMV and spotted this place so I stopped in to get a chocolate malted milkshake. Great decision. One of the best chocolate malted milkshakes I have had in a long time. I highly recommend it. Fair price and the lady was nice. Would stop in again!
