Vinal in Somerville is such a gem! The American Classic with the French toast English muffin is absolutely phenomenal, sweet, savory, and perfectly balanced. The staff is incredibly sweet and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. I’d suggest getting there early because they run out of things quickly, which just shows how good the food really is. Definitely a spot I’ll keep coming back to!

We went there few weeks ago and the sandwiches we had were delicious!
The English muffins are extremely good and fresh, so I also took for home a pack.

I would say that only disadvantage is space, which is small and it gets uncomfortable when is more busy, but could be better for a to go option. Other than that, the stuff is very nice. I recommend!

Vinal Bakery is the local king of breakfast sandwiches in my opinion. Their English muffins set the standard for all English muffins to follow.

Food: The sausage, egg, and cheese was incredible. The salty sausage patty was perfect with the fluffy English muffin and the creamy egg and cheese. It was the complete package and it really filled me up. We also got some lattes that were great compliments to the great food.

Service: Staff were kind and super fast with the order!

Atmosphere: The dining space is on the smaller side but the simple colors and the wall decor helps to make it cozy for a quick sit down visit.

I loved the food here! The sandwiches are huge. The ingredients are fresh and plentiful. The English muffins themselves are massive and fluffy. They have seasonal English muffins and treats/drinks. Also some sandwich specials. The inside is very small, and there is some seating. We went around 12PM on a Sunday and it was packed. Difficult to stand or find seating. I recommend ordering online and picking up at the window. They have treats in the take out window for furry friends. We can’t wait to go back!

Came here yesterday late morning and parked down the street in front of Target. It’s been on my list for awhile and I was excited to finally try it due to the hype and my love for English Muffins.

Don’t get me wrong they were good but not out of this world. I asked the person at the front what I should get and she recommended three and I choose the Sausage McVinal then got an individual English muffin with maple butter.

The loss of the star was because I was the only one in there and waited a solid ten minutes and received a burnt English muffin. It was also just on the edge of being undercooked. Hard to see in the picture. The sandwich was good but all in it was $15, so overall this was 3.5 stars.

I can’t imagine what the wait would be on a busy weekend morning so I would probably recommend ordering ahead. Might come back if I’m in the area but won’t go out of my way.

This charming little café offers delicious pastries and breakfast sandwiches served on English muffins. The space is small, with just a few tables, but they also have a separate online order window, which is great for pick-up. My friend and I tried two lattes—one fall special and a vanilla oat milk latte—and both were solid, quality coffees. Nothing extraordinary, but definitely satisfying.

It was a bit busy, so we waited around 15-20 minutes, but it was worth it. We both went for breakfast sandwiches, which come in different varieties with optional toppings for an additional charge. Honestly, this was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve had in a long time. Even though it was on a smaller English muffin, it was hearty without being overly filling, and everything was cooked perfectly—especially the melted American cheese. The English muffins were soft and had a great flavor, much better than store-bought.

I got the egg and cheese sandwich with bacon and avocado, and I’ll definitely be back!

Finally made my way to Vinal Bakery after hearing great things about its homemade English muffins. The bakery is located on a quiet corner next to a Target. The inside has a few tables with an open kitchen, but there is also a side window for “walk-by” ordering.

– Miss Maple on French Toast English Muffin ($6.75): The maple butter had a light sweetness that was yummy. I’m not sure if the French toast English muffin is named so because of the flavor or texture, but it didn’t remind me of French toast; it just tasted like a regular, chewy English muffin. However, it did taste homemade. Overall, this was pretty good, but I probably wouldn’t get it again. I also think it could have been cheaper given it only contained an egg and cheddar cheese.
– Oatmeal Cream Pie ($4): I got this because it is supposedly their most popular baked good. I really liked the oatmeal cookie: crispy edges with a delectably chewy center. However, the cream was VERY sweet, like cupcake frosting. The cookie was also sweet, so, together, I found it too overwhelming.

Service was friendly, and they were able to prep my order earlier than the scheduled time since I arrived early. The community crossword by the register is also a neat concept.

1 star off for being messy, and only decent value. It was good and I’d eat it again, but compared to other breakfast spots we love, this was a smaller sandwich and pretty messy to take on the go. We had the McVinal and Sam-I Am

Got the buttermilk biscuit with maple butter and choco espresso cake. Genuinely so buttery and the perfect balance of sweet and salty on the biscuit with maple butter. I had a hard time not going back the next day. I’m not usually a fan of chocolate cake unless it is super moist, but this one passed the test. It was soo rich but not overly sweet which made it so pleasant to eat. the glaze was a nice touch too it complemented the chocolate so well! The staff are also all really nice!
