BEST RESTAURANT IN TAOS. I cannot even begin to express how delicious everything was. The empanadas were perfect little pillows, cooked evenly. The paella was the best I had ever had… The delicate consistency with a slight crisp. Absolutely perfect. The FLAN was SO DELICIOUS that we ordered a second one after the first was gone. I cannot wait for my next trip to Taos so that I can return to this restaurant. The staff was very kind and the restaurant was a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere.

Really enjoyed the food here. We shared the Peruvian street ceviche which was amazing flavor and I liked the crunchy corn to complement the fish. My favorite was the Tallarin Verde. Wow. The tagliatelle was so tasty with a creamy pesto. The steak has a nice char! Also has a local NM gin martini and their passion fruit cheesecake. All delicious.

Unexpectedly amazing. We had our first dinner at Aji on 12.29, the lamb chop with fried rice and the steak with pesto pasta was amazing. It was so good that we asked if they still have available tables for the NYE, luckily they do. We came here two days later and this time we ordered the ribeye and duck leg for main. They were even better than the food we ordered last time. For starters I strongly recommend the Aji dip and the beef heart; for dessert the flan is one of the best I’ve ever had.

Such good service and amazing food! Friendly staff, explained the dishes when I had questions about the Peruvian dishes. Each dish was so flavorful and good portion sizes! 10/10 recommend!

We dine here almost weekly. The menu is not large, but the flavors are excellent. Server is very helpful and friendly.

I had a Street Ceviche as a starter. It was fine but too bland-ified for American tastes. If you are used to ceviche with kick, ask for some chopped chili.

The paella main course was excellent, and unlike most restaurants that serve paella, Aji’s was ready in a normal time frame.

The proprietress is in fact from Peru, and ably and amiably performs multiple duty as receptionist, server, and buser.

This was a lovely find during the busy 4th of July weekend when most places were booked or closed. Luckily, we snagged same-day reservations, and it was just a short drive from our stay at Taos Valley Lodge. The cozy, home-like ambiance, with a fireplace and local art made the experience feel personal and welcoming. The food had great flavor, though a few dishes could use slight tweaks. Service was a bit slow, but everything is made to order, and we didn’t mind as we were deep in conversation. The cheesecake was the perfect ending to a delicious meal, and the warm, gracious staff made us feel right at home. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

Visiting Taos for a weekend getaway with family. Went here to celebrate my son’s birthday. We loved the food… enjoyed it thoroughly!

The tuna ceviche was really good! For main course we went with the Trout, Chaufa de Camerones (shrimp), Paella and Salmon. The salmon was just OKK. But everything else was delicious and yummy! The winner definitely was the Paella!
We ended with the Flan which was super soft and yummy!
For the drinks… definitely have their Passion Fruit drink.

Nice cozy place to enjoy Peruvian food. Portions are not huge or big so it is nice to be able to eat an appetizer, entree and desserts. Bar has nice drinks. Pisco sour is good. Food was very authentic with some tweaks. It was a bit pricey for two but we had a great time.
