What an amazing restaurant. I don’t typically travel out this direction as I stay off Foster but I’m glad I stopped. It was just before 11 and breakfast was still an option so I tried the agave omelette. It was such a large portion plated with beans and potatoes. Prior to my food coming out I was provided fresh crunchy chips and 3 different varieties of salsa. The presentation of my food was amazing and everything was fresh and delicious.*and at a great price point (Portions were incredibly generous as well. Had to ask for a to go container) All the staff was super friendly and welcoming and I came to find out they will make 1 year open in April! (Congrats) I would definitely recommend this place to eat. As a matter of fact, I’ll most likely bring my family out later this week for dinner. 5 stars all around.

Stopped in for lunch today and was blown away! The atmosphere was spot on—they had a great playlist going that really set a fun, upbeat mood without being too loud. The food was incredible and served fast, and the staff were all so welcoming and kind. It’s the perfect spot to recharge during the day. Can’t wait to come back!

Good vibes and music, food was basic. Barbacoa was excellent. Drinks were all extra extra sweet, not the best. Salsa was basic but nice display. Michelada was good.

The food was really good, I also had one of the best micheladas I’ve ever had, the mix was really good. Very well priced too, I had the green chicken enchiladas and chicken fajita plate that came with rice, beans, and guac, and it was only $13.99 and it was a HUGE plate. Definitely a 10/10

Fantastic new restaurant in Converse, Texas. I went with a large part and we didn’t have reservations on a Friday night. The restaurant staff easily accommodated us and gave us great service throughout the night. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food is delicious and the portions are large.

My husband and I have always wanted to try this place, thinking it must be good since we see a lot of cars in the parking lot. We read the reviews before going and went open minded. We were hoping to find a good spot for Mexican food. When we brought the food home it looked great and the portions were a good size. We felt pretty optimistic. Sadly, it’s not good or worth it. We made it half way through our meals before we gave up and threw it out. I ordered enchiladas and he ordered a burrito. The rice and beans had absolutely no flavor, burrito had a weird after taste and the enchiladas were not that great. Might as well go to Las Palapas tbh. Disappointing but at least we gave it a try and know now. We definitely won’t be going back.

I’ve been to a lot of Mexican food places and this place ranks very high I really like this Mexican restaurant. It’s very authentic I think. The booths and chairs are really nice. Actually have some of the nicest tables booths and chairs out of all restaurants I’ve been too.
I love the size of the drink cups and they’re made of metal! Kids the drinks colder and for some reason the sodas taste better here.

My wife & I noticed every time we pass by Los Agave Mexican Grill restaurant on FM 78 in Converse the parking lot is full of patrons. We decided to stop in & try it for the first time. The restaurant is very clean. The servers are very friendly. Jenny waited on us. She did an excellent job. The food was so delicious. My wife ordered the beef fajitas & chicken enchiladas. The beef fajita was tender & not tough. The chicken enchiladas was delicious too. I tried the barbacoa tacos & guacamole. The barbacoa was lean & not greasy. We enjoyed our lunch & we definitely will be back & tell all our friends. Thank you Jenny for taking great care of us. ❤️❤️❤️

Positives:Food is amazing. The three salsa they bring out are incredible, but becareful if you don’t like it spicy. The chips are fresh and delicious. Food portions are large and presented well. Server was very attentive.
Negatives: No drink menu. I know this sounds petty, but for a place that describes themselves as a BAR and grill, there are ZERO drink menus. I asked the waiter to see if they had a drink menu, he said no, but said they have beer micheladas and margaritas (which i assume are wine margaritas and not tequila). This had me and my wife confused on why they had roughly 5 bottles of liquor displayed at the bar, but only offer beer and wine options. We decided to try the margaritas anyway and they were ok, nothing impressive.
The bill: This is where the experience took a down turn. Those mediocre margaritas were $14 each!!!! Another reason why im still upset about not having a drink menu. And without being told, they also charge you 3% for paying with a credit card!!! No warning, no post, and not on your original receipt, just shows up on your final receipt after you already paid which im not sure is quite legal.
