reminiscing on the time i came here and my dogs didn’t even eat the chicken tenders just seen your reply to my review, if you fix roofs then why is ts leaking?? i feel bad for whoever’s house you be working on their through this snow storm.. anywho here’s what i said last time and i stand by it, i wouldn’t of complained if you had okay customer service. if that is your normal customer service then i feel bad for your maybe 5 loyal customers, HAD to come on here and say, stop by the abc store across the street before coming here your gonna need it. the food is below average at BEST! your better off going to dollar general and getting a frozen pizza frl. their outdoor seating? roof leaks with no rain. plastic windows. and the service sucks we asked multiple questions and got no reply, no spoon or condiments provided. i payed 30$ for dog food litterly. and now IM paying another 30 to go aunt millys and get some REAL food because i have got to get the taste out of my mouth from off the bone. thanks!

The chicken salad was awesome. Would have rated this place 5 stars, however the young guy with the wispy mustache needs to learn about customer service. He was not rude, but did give the “I don’t care” vibe. Someone needs to buy him a razor as well. Have a great weekend!

Best DAMN BBQ in NC! I travel extensively for work. I was in a restaurant in Reading PA and started a conversation. He was telling me about Steak sandwiches in Philly. My NC rebuttal was our BBQ. I told him Off the bone BBQ should be on every human beings bucket list. We’re blessed and have a get away place on Hyco lake. Passed by, hungry, stopped. Addiction at first bite. The ownership are fantastic. They do BBQ the way it’s been done for the last 150 years. You can’t get better BBQ, perfection is hard to beat. Be warned they usually sell out most Saturdays especially in the warm days of summer. Second warning you will become an addict after second bite.
You can’t pay people enough to post a review like this. Who would think in a town with a Dollar General being the finest shopping would have a road side to go BBQ restaurant like this.

This is a true local gem. Stopped here because it was so close to VIR. I’m very happy i did. Service was warm and friendly, food had a great fresh taste. I will absolutely be back. Im sorry I didnt find this sooner. I got the Double bacon cheeseburger fries and a sweet tea. I couldn’t finish the burger it was so big.

The cashier didn’t get my order correct. After I clearly asked for a 2 hot dog combination, that included 2 hot dogs, 1 side and a soda. He charges me for the and then for another side. Then when I get my food they gave me 1 side and then tried to tell me he only charged me for 1 side when my bill was over $10. He doesn’t listen and he is a crook.

Order of fries was so small I counted them, 16 fries rolled up in the paper wrapper, served with a tiny portion of BBQ that was shredded into a small hamburger bun
Nothing special here, if you have an appetite, you may need to reconsider. I am not a big guy but I appreciate more than a child’s portion for lunch.

Road by this place on the way to visit a friend. I got a BBQ plate with green beans and slaw, hush puppies. The food was really good and more than enough for two meals! So good taste and value. They’ve got Hershey’s ice cream too but I was too full to get that. Next time…..
