Surf City Stillworks nails the cool, laid-back Huntington Beach vibe! It’s a fantastic local distillery with a great space to hang out.
The house-made spirits are excellent, and the cocktails showcase them well—creative, refreshing, and high quality overall. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic. We had a great experience, though service speed could lag slightly when they got busy.
Highly recommended for quality spirits and a perfect coastal cocktail spot!

Saw this place on instagram and decided to check it out as we live in the neighborhood. It’s tucked away in a business park but super cute inside. This would be an amazing space for a private party or trivia night. We ordered the artichoke and spinach dip to start and it was fantastic. Our server brought more bread which was a nice touch. For drinks we enjoyed a Gettin Figgy Wit It & East Meets West – both delicious. It’s clear this place has invested in high quality bartenders and a talented chef. It will pay off for them. Next up was dinner: I had the chopped salad with fried chicken (packed with flavor) and my husband had the mushroom gnocchi (incredible, savory- prosciutto was the perfect touch). Service was attentive and friendly. Ultimately, we came as first-timers and will likely become regulars as this place is a hidden gem in Huntington Beach. Don’t skip it!

Great place with delicious food and drinks. The mixology class is very fun and a great idea for date night (found and booked class/“experience” in OpenTable). We had a little tour of the incredibly beautiful distillery equipment and facilities in the back warehouse space — they are a functioning distillery that makes all types of spirits. Then we had a tasting of all their spirits and then we made two awesome drinks. They were delicious and taught us so much on how to correctly use barware, using some fun new ingredients like Aquafaba for foam and jam/preserves for a fig inspired bourbon drink. It was absolutely amazing. They also bring out a variety of delicious food and appetizers. You have a seat at the bar so you can order dinner or more food afterwards! Cannot say enough great things. The staff was also incredibly welcoming and inviting — thank you Gaston & Deidre! We definitely will be back!

This place is awesome! Yes they can only serve one small flight or drink per person but the experience, the service and the bottled goodies that you take home will make it well worth the trip. It’s my personal favorite of any distillery in the OC area.

This distillery is tucked away in a back street in Huntington Beach. It’s a gem! It has good vibes and seems like a social place. Or, if you’re in the mood, you can tuck yourself away in a little corner to sip on a HB Sunset cocktail while reading a dystopian classic by Octavia Butler. Cocktails and books – a perfect pairing.

We just came in for cocktails after dinner but looking at their full menu we will absolutely be coming back to sample the food. We did try the churros and they were fantastic. The cocktail menu is full of interesting ingredients and inspired twists on classics.
