I’ve lived near many big cities in my 70+ years. And love Italian foods (even though I’m Polish). D&D is by far the BEST Italian Market I’ve been to. It is not fancy, but who cares! The Hot Italian Sausage is my favorite item they have. Plus, I always look in the self serve cooler for the “ends”. Regular customers know what I’m talking about. Wish I lived closer as I’m 70 miles away in MI. I stop here whenever I pass through the area.

Very attentitive staff – wide selection of ethnic Italian foods you don’t see elsewhere. For an awesome sub and you’re quite hungry get The Half Guido. If literally starving get The Full Guido. Their frozen meatballs added to a pasta dish. Yummy

D&D is an Italian specialty grocery store. That means a specialized in specialty Italian groceries including meats and cheeses and sauces and everything that’s top quality Italian. There have been in business since 1944 and deserve a visit just to see all of the historical photographs and artifacts that they have on their premises for your enjoyment.

This is my favorite place for Italian food. I always stock up on pizza dough and all the fixings for great homemade pizza. The cheese tortellini reminds me of my Grandmother’s.
And the Guido!! Enough for a family to eat

Wonderful Italian food store with deli. The sandwich called the Guido Special is excellent. Multiple meats and cheese, no veggies. Simple and perfect.

So disappointed! I grew up in this area but moved away several years ago, I loved this old Italian Deli/Store for years as there are so few true Italian Delis left. I just can’t figure out how they can justify $7.00 per pound for Italian Sausage! $5.00 per pound for Ricotta Cheese! I am in the foodservice business and have been for years and certainly understand the crazy prices and increased costs over the past few years, but clearly this family has gone off the rails at the cash register! If you go, ask what the prices are before you order as they have made the conscious decision to remove all of the prices for all their Deli products with the idea you won’t reject it after you order it. This has to be done as they are clearly taking advantage of unsuspecting customers. It’s a bit of a drive, but head to DelSantos in Steger, Rabino’s in Tinley Park, Frangella’s in Oakland or Whittinghams Meats in Alsip. They care enough not to dishonor their customers by overcharging them!
B&B’s Foods has lost my Italian family’s business for good!
