Oh my goodness…. The food is fantastic.
I’m a white guy and somewhat of a lamb shank aficionado…. It’s one of my favorite dishes of all time…. and I go out of my way to try every restaurant that serves the meal in any given area.
This is my first time trying this place and it is definitely now in my top three. I got it with the qabuli palow, first time tasting that kind of rice dish, and the flavors went SO well together.
There was also this sort of savory, chunky, lentil sauce that’s hard to describe…I wish I would have asked what it was called. The guy running the place gave me a container for free and it paired really well with both the palow and the lamb. He even gave me a free glass of fresh mango juice while I was waiting for my to go order! Delicious as well.
It’s a new place so I’m pretty sure he was trying to give the best first impression possible, and well…… It worked. The food is obviously made with care and I’m looking forward to trying other stuff on the menu.
…. Although, it will be hard to not just reorder the lamb again
