Motz’s Burgers is one of those places I see on social media and say to myself “I’ve got to get there someday.” Today was that someday and I’m not sure why I waited so long. The burger was a little messy but flavorful – I had it loaded with toppings and bacon. The fries were hot and perfectly salted, and the onion rings were light and crunchy. Whatever the dipping sauce is that comes with the rings was fantastic – it had a little heat to it but a lot of flavor. The staff members were friendly and the place was clean and not heavy with that “kitchen smell.” I’ll definitely be back and order the double cheeseburger and more sliders next time.

I grew up in Farmington and, as such, cut my teeth on local favorites Bates and Greene’s. My wife and I stumbled across Motz’s by chance and, since they’re super close and inexpensive, decided to give them a chance.
To say that they are on par with, or perhaps superior to, the local greats is the greatest compliment I can give. The sliders are less greasy than those you’d get at Bates or Greene’s, but still pack all the flavor you’d expect with all the same toppings (grilled onion, white American cheese, pickles, and mustard).
Their French fries are basic in the best, simplest sort of way and, again, far less greasy than I would expect. We got 3 cheese burger sliders, two bottles of pop (no fountains at this location) and an order of fries between the two of us, felt like we got enough food for our money, and spent $21 after tip.
If you’ve been to a “classic” Detroit slider joint, you know what to expect in terms of ambience, and this place doesn’t disappoint. Bar-style seating along the outer walls, with napkin holders flanked by ketchup and mustard bottles arranged along a metal counter with semi-regularity. If you grew up eating at places like Greene’s or Bray’s, it almost feels like coming home. It’s a simple ambience that would never be confused with “cozy,” but it definitely feels familiar and a little comforting if these kinds of places were your teen hangout spots.
We will definitely be back to try some of their other offerings. Those onion rings looked super tasty.

Met the owner and reminisced about what this place was back in the day, a sub shop. Today it’s bustling with life, and delicious food, and excellent management. The burgers are everything you expect, so good they’re addictive! Just a great atmosphere, great vibe, and we were even welcomed to stay warm a few minutes extra while waiting for a ride.
Top notch!

I really loved the sliders! The hamburger patties were thicker than a normal slider but still thin enough to be considered a slider. Everything was fresh and tasty; the juicy hamburger meat, soft buns, onions, and pickles. The inside of the restaurant was incredibly clean too from the counters to the floors. After I ate there on my way home I said “that was really good” at least twice. If you like sliders, check this place out!

First time customer, never in Livonia so this was a great lunch time find. Grabbed 2 sliders (fresh meat, looks like a smash burger, thin patty, smashed bun) it was good, next time I will recomend double cheeseburger! I assumed it would be really greasy but surprisingly it was not and i appreciated that!Fries are string style (thin), they were good, maybe a touch more salt ill add next time. Chocolate shake is milk chocolate and is delicious!!!!!! I probably won’t drive an hour just for this place but if I am in town, Deffinatly worth and will stop!!!!!!! See you next time!

I have always had a wonderful experience at Motz Burgers. Food is always fresh and has a superior taste to a lot of burger restaurants.
2 weeks ago Motz also sponsored burgers for the Pierce Middle School cheer team for their competition, and the team was sooo grateful! It was an amazing surprise, thank you to Chris for making it happen for us!
Good people, good prices, highly recommend!

Amazing burgers and service, great prices too! Fries and onion rings are great along with all milkshake flavors. Even at the minute they open with 8 other people waiting they always have given me my order before my lunch break ends.
Workers and the owner/general manager are very friendly. 11/10

Let’s start with the STAFF Amazing. It was so clean AND THE BURGERS CHEFS KISS. Oh and to the wonderful Motz staff we didn’t mean to almost make you guys cry. I was just surprised my son because we had lost contact with his Bonus Mom for over 20+ years. That’s what all of our hugging and crying was for. Love you guys see you soon. Fort and Green Motz

I’ve been hearing about and have wanting to come to eat at Motz Burgers for years…and it finally happened! I traveled all the way from California to have their one of a kind burger experience. Sending endless thanks to Ms. Liz and Kim for their phenomenal customer service. And thank you so much to Chris for my Neapolitan shake that you made just for me…it was SO good, especially with that being the first time you all made it that way. The food was really tasty (I was a little scared of it not being enough food but the portions were actually perfect), and the Lemonade was some of the best I’ve ever had. I’ll most DEFINITELY be back! Thank you Motz Redford 🙂
