I ordered some food for delivery because I didn’t feel like going to pick up lol. I ordered the kung pao chicken dinner (with chicken fried rice & an egg roll), pan-fried noodles, a side of white rice, & wonton soup. I thought the food was overall was pretty bland. Plenty of food leftover. I felt extremely bloated afterward though & it kinda messed with my stomach for several hours afterward. The guy who delivered my food was nice though.

I hate to rate the food so low, but I have been going here since I was a kid. There was normally a higher level of quality. Recently the General Tso and now the orange chicken were beyond slimy which is horrible to even have in your mouth. It’s very disgusting to say the least. Maybe a bad chef but I would never ever eat anything that has breading on the food. I do enjoy the BBQ Pork and Beef fried rice. The egg rolls aren’t as good as they used to be, but these are good. While on FB I had found out these are new owners. Oh! Well, that makes a lot of sense because I know there was a difference in the food. Such as Beef Kow having less flavor and different vegetables in the dish. With that said, these people are nice and always happy to greet you. I love that. Nothing against their loving hearts, but some dishes aren’t good at all. While others are awesome (beef fried rice).
I may try other dishes, but I am not happy with the poor quality that I have received today and in the past.

If your chicken or shrimp has this breading (picture), I would ask for something else. Sorry, but I can’t recommend anyone to eat that.

Came across Golden Wok by pure accident. Just wanted some Chinese food and this was close by. The place was nice, calm and it was pretty empty for an evening. Staff was friendly and not hovering, which I liked. They let me enjoy my food and only checked in when I needed something.

I ordered the Beef lo mein. And yeah, beef lo mein is one of those dishes that usually tastes the same everywhere. The beef has that familiar Chinese beef flavor that i’m used to, tender, juicy, a little smoky, and piping hot. No toughness, no weird chew. Seasoning was on point. Portions overall were solid. The only thing I always forget until I’m halfway through is there’s just not enough beef. I keep wishing for a few more pieces.

Glad I found this place. It’s right on my way home, which is super convenient. I’ll definitely be back.

Not sure if they have new owners. We been coming here for decades. Never had a problem with the service, food act. Today my parents had the worse experience here. The waitress brought my mom’s soup but not my dad’s. Bringing my dad’s soup with the main dishes. She mixed the main dish order. Instead of making it right. The cashier decided to mouth off to my parents. Sad to say but never going back to this place again. If you can’t treat your seniors with respect, you lost our services.

Golden Wok is a great local Chinese restaurant and one of my go-to spots when I want something reliable and satisfying. My usual order is the sesame seed chicken and it never disappoints — crispy, flavorful, and coated in that perfect sweet-savory sauce. The crab rangoon is also a must: hot, creamy, and crispy with a good filling-to-wrapper ratio. Service is quick, everything is packaged well for takeout, and the food always shows up fresh and hot. If you’re looking for a dependable local place with classic favorites done right, I definitely recommend Golden Wok.

We got delivery from Golden Wok for the first time for a party and it wss fantastic. It showed up fast, hot, entire order was correct, and the food was excellent. Huge portions and a good amount of high quality meat and vegetables in each dish. Not greasy or too salty. Prices were great too for how much they give you. We’ll be ordering from here again for sure.

Okay WHY did I not read the reviews first? I know better well…

I stopped in to place a to go order. I ordered the sesame chicken meal, veggie spring rolls and a veggies fried rice. I should have thought twice after going inside as the dining area of the restaurant is closed and it doesn’t look or smell very clean. I should have left so that’s my fault. I got the order home and my Mom was happy with her veggie fried rice and veggie spring rolls. My sesame “chicken” was not chicken!!!!!! What was it well after calling and speaking to the manager I was told that it’s more of a chicken meatball. If I wanted meatballs I would have ordered meatballs. I’ve never heard of Chinese meatballs in my life. I was told this is the way they’ve been doing it for 40 years. Well I’ve been eating Chinese food for a long time and I’ve never had chicken meatballs covered in sauce. Didn’t taste anything like the sesame chicken sauce I have had at other places. It was just bland. No flavor, no spice nothing. The rice that came with the meal was supposed to be fried rice. It was basically white rice that had soy sauce on it. There was no vegetables, no meat, no anything it was literally just white rice with soy sauce on it. The only thing I enjoyed was my egg roll. I couldn’t eat any of my meal except the egg roll. I did call and I was given a credit to use next time but other than egg rolls I won’t be ordering anything from this restaurant again. If a person is spending 12 dollars on sesame chicken it should be chicken not a chicken meatball. I am now sick to my stomach and still craving Chinese food because I did not get to eat my meal. Oh well ! Good luck if you decide to order from here I guess some people enjoy paying for fake chicken, white soy rice and flavorless sauce. Remember to read the reviews first!

Apparently a take out customer has higher priority than a potentially tipping customer who intends to dine inside even if
that customer arrives ahead of the take-out customer. The take out customer gets priority leaving the intending dine-in customer waiting to be seated at a table. Perhaps it could be due to certain attributes and differences in the customers as to which one is more respected and one less respected perceptions and how each customer is treated or given certain priority. You would think the customer who is to dine-in would get treated a bit better in comparison as that customer has the discretion of leaving a tip based on the service and especially if that customer arrived earlier and left waiting only to see a take out customer in some special uniform get priority treatment ahead of the dine-in customer (ignored, invisible). This gave me the impression that certain customers, perhaps based on certain attributes or perceived status in societal hierarchy, are valued more or less than others and the one valued gets service first even if the other arrived earlier and waited longer to dine in and potentially leave a tip. The take out customer probably did not leave a tip unless it was rolled into the price for carry-out.
