Food is always great. Prices are great. You really can’t eat anywhere cheaper in Douglas. However, the young girls working the registers on the inside have no customer service skills. No smile. They will stare at you like you’re a bother and you have to coach them through your order. With good service, this is a 5 star establishment.

Made a delivery to a customer nearby and checked the reviews about this place. If u check any of my other reviews, I’ve haven’t had the best luck with many chicken places.. The is very good food, in my opinion.. had the 3 piece dinner with fries and roll for about $6.50.. Everything was hot and fresh. Not seasoned too much but just right…will definitely be back when in the area.. reread someones post about prices too high and small portions. U may wanna get out this town cause ur not gonna find prices any cheaper than these

Carter’s is a Family staple for us in Douglas. Papa always gets the catfish platter, he loves it. I usually get the fried liver plate. Food is always consistent and very good.

Customer service really isn’t there at this place. But the food makes up for it because the chicken okra and Mac and cheese is where it is at. They also have really good apple pies and grilled chicken tenders. You can’t beat the price though they are the cheapest place in town to go eat at by fast my favorite place to go just have to over look the rude service you get from the employees. Plus always check your plate before you leave if you get it to go.

I love, love the whole catfish at this place. They give you 3 headless catfish! Sooo yummy. The boneless is good as well. Sadly, not a fan of the fried chicken. It seems they cook the chicken and fish in the same batter. Or it might be the oil they cook them both in. Don’t want my chicken to have fish flavor.

I love Carter’s. But I will be honest and say that some of their younger staff need to learn better customer service. I’ve had the Bbq and chicken salad(tastes like the fried chicken with a bunch of mayo and relish) before and they are each horrible. The food is delicious otherwise that’s why I gave 5 stars.
