We stopped in for a weekday lunch as a group of three and were seated right away. While the restaurant has lovely décor and a pleasant ambiance, the service was noticeably slow. After ordering an appetizer, we weren’t asked about our entrée choices until the appetizer arrived, which stretched the meal longer than expected. That said, the food itself was a mixed but mostly positive experience. I ordered the Pad Prik King Chicken, which was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. My husband ordered the Massaman Curry; however, despite the menu description clearly listing potatoes, none were included in the dish, which was disappointing. Overall, the atmosphere and some of the food were enjoyable, but the service and attention to detail could use improvement.

Been coming for lunch on occasion for a few months. Food and service have been great. I’ve tried many different dishes and all have been served hot and have been really tasty. The chef has come out each time to ensure I’m enjoying my meal. Nice family vibe.

I’ve gone here multiple times and always had an amazing experience with delicious food. However this last time, the waitress chased us out into the parking lot for not leaving a large enough tip. I generally tip 15% to 20%. I had given her 15% for perfectly acceptable service (I give 20% for above and beyond attentiveness). She said she generally asks for 18% and asked me for more money. I gave her additional $$$, but it felt like an awkward shakedown. I dont think I’ll be back, which is a shame because the food is so good and the owner/chef is awesome…

The food? Always impeccable. Tasty and delicious. Service? They remember you! We hadn’t been in a few months and they seat us in the same seat EVERY TIME. The atmosphere? Cozy and warm and it’s like coming home. If you haven’t come to Basil n’ spice, please do!

I have to say this restaurant is amazing and out of this world. The staff here are so nice and welcoming and always willing to help you for whatever you need for food or drinks etc. I have been coming here for years every Wednesday night. My food is always hot and always so delicious. If you are new to the area or just want to find amazing local food this is the location.
Come to Basil and spice. I promise you will not regret coming. You will keep coming back just like I do.

My husband and I went on Valentine’s Day later in the evening after an event. We have recently begun to frequent the restaurant for the intimate atmosphere and hot, freshly prepared food.
Dinner was tasty and high quality as usual despite them being out of eggplant and pork. (We substituted with no trouble) The service was “relaxed” (which for some might mean slow)- but we were not in a hurry.
We paid the bill, and tipped 18% -which is where the problem arose. The waitress chased us into the parking lot and claimed this was not adequate. This was humiliating and felt coercive given that we have been tipping at the same level since we started eating at the restaurant. Honestly, we don’t think we will be back given that we were publicly shamed when standard tipping is 15-20%.

I came here for dinner with my mom. It was both of our first time trying Thai food. Not only did we have amazing service but we got a little lesson on the culture of Thai cuisine and why they prepare dishes how they do. Food was amazing we got the wonton soup, crab Rangoon, and pictured is the red curry and Thai tea!

Cozy spot with chill vibes and great ambiance. I tried the Rice Noodle’s Spring Rolls, Drunken Noodles, and Pineapple Fried Rice. The Drunken Noodles were the standout, absolutely loved them! The rest of the dishes were also good, and I’m definitely coming back to try more. They have a wide range of drink options, but we were in a hurry and didn’t get to explore them fully. One thing to note: parking can be a bit tricky, so I’d recommend calling ahead to check availability. Overall, worth a visit!
