Customer service as well as aesthetics thrust this dining experience to the front of the line. For me, it’s conveniently located on exit 89 off 20/59. I’ve stopped here a few times on my way to Tuscaloosa as well as traveling back home. Depending on which entrance you choose, you will see a display of desserts, ice cream or the convenience store. The ice cream booth doubles as the host/ess stand. The retro-style diner is always clean and very inviting. Two large countertop seating areas take up most of the space. I brought my son, his girlfriend, as well as my nieces and nephews here after choir rehearsal. I ordered lemon-pepper chicken wings but didn’t get to eat them. I came back to enjoy the wings… alone . I paired the wings with their pancakes. I wasn’t disappointed at all.

What a great find. After noticing the signs on the highway there was no way I could pass by. This location is conveniently located with a Gas station attached which worked out perfectly for us as we were traveling. I ordered a meatloaf plate, with 3 sides. It was everything I didn’t know I needed. Service was great, staff was friendly and helpful with making the best selections. Plenty of space for dining and HUGE bar tops to give it that classic diner feel.

BEST DINER! We came for the first time today and I had to leave a review before I forgot to. The food was delicious and the staff was so friendly. Food didn’t take too long and was the best breakfast I have had in a long time. We will be back tomorrow morning! (not kidding haha). Going to also make note that I signed up for Sprint rewards and will forever be using that gas station over the other options near us. Super clean, well kept and bathrooms were very well taken care of.

We’ve ordered the catfish plate (blackened and fried), Mahi Mahi, Patty melt and meatloaf. They all came out great!
Enough portion for a person to eat and enjoy.
Great attitude from staffs, especially Kimberly, our waitress. She’s so kind! Especially being a new year day.
Prices were fair and affordable.
The bakery side was nice and plenty of selections to choose. But maybe putting names and prices on the bakeries will help customers to identify them better.
Nice atmosphere and vibes as well. Clean bathrooms.
Also a good size Dog Park on site. That’s a plus for travelers like us with a dog.
Overall great experience and will be back again for sure!

I order grilled chicken plate. It was very good. Restrooms were nice &clean. Sadie’s has dessert & ice cream too. I had the Tennessee Toffe. It was delicious .

I eat here regularly because it’s one of a few restaurants available in the Brookwood/Vance area. Due to health issues I can no longer cook so I literally eat 3 meals a day out of our local restaurants. Sometimes I die in sometimes I send caregivers for takeout orders.
The food for the most part tastes really good except for whatever seasonings they have started adding to the green Limas.
However, service here has went WAY down in the last few months. It is extremely common for wait times to be 30-45 minutes at least.
Waiting on the kitchen for so long is bad enough but the last several times we’ve seen our food sit in the window for an additional 10 minutes or so before we finally ask the staff if they are going to bring it to us.
My caregivers and I try not to arrive during peak hours so that is not an excuse for such long wait times. There is rarely another customer there when we are.
I really enjoyed this restaurant when it first opened but it is going downhill fast.
I’ve noticed the owner replies to good reviews, but never the poor reviews, so I’m not really expecting a change, but just letting you guys know that it is going down fast.
I will say it’s always clean and so are the bathrooms.
I’ll try and post reviews more often.

I’ve never stopped on this spot in Alabama. But I think it should be a “must try” when passing through Tuscaloosa. It’s right by the Mercedes Benz plant. There is a gas station here, a gift shop, the dinner, cool pictures, the atmosphere is just cool!!
