The food is excellent! It nice this place has a similar taste to the places back home (NYC). It’s also one of the few places around here to get the proper ingredients to make your own Spanish food. The location is very small, parking is limited (especially during lunch), and they added extra shelving to accommodate the additional items they sell. It is difficult to navigate through the store section, and seating for dine-in is very limited (and it gets packed!). Other than that, I highly recommend grabbing a bite to eat and getting some of the great grocery products they offer!

Couldn’t give this place enough stars! Taqueria El Paso had its humble beginnings in a food truck of all places. It was just known as the taco truck in christiansburg. It was parked outside the corning plant and i found out about it when i had to pick up lunch one day for a bunch of coworkers.
Now, i don’t want to come off as that guy, but i was born and raised in San Diego where i was able to enjoy a lot of true authentic mexican food, and this place has it! It’s by far the best place in the NRV for authentic mexican food. It’s not very well known but is gaining traction and will soon be a hotspot on the foodmap.
Go ahead and press the navigate button and head over there!

Friendly service and utterly delicious food! The pupusas are a favorite. Plentiful seating and the market is fun to explore while waiting for takeout.

April 2023 update:
New ownership and new food. Carne Asada is now a lower quality meat that is chewy. Burrito has a weird sweet flavor and they fill the burritos with rice that has peas and lima beans. Definitely no longer ‘Mexican’ as it was bought out by a chain.

First off I’m from San Diego and I love my Mexican food. I travel alot and after many bad experiences I have vowed not to eat Mexican food out side my state. Best believe I’m happy that I went out my comfort zone and tried this place. Their food gave me all the comfort and satisfaction as real authentic Mexican food if you try this place for the first time you won’t be disappointed.

Everything from their limited menu is tasty. The Pork and Cheese Papusa and authentic Tripa (Tripe) Mexican Taco… so . The Papusa comes with cabbage salad and pickled onions. There is very hot red and mild green sauces. I slather mine with lot of green sauce and a little bit of red.

This place is great! Just about everything you could want from a Hispanic market. Spices, produce, canned goods, drinks… huge selection of Mexican pop with real sugar. The Taqueria is the best place around for street food style tacos. They also have good quesadillas. The tortas are like nothing else around. It’s a sandwich that takes up an entire to-go box. The staff are friendly & the service is fast.

The most authentic Mexican restaurant in Montgomery county. You have to come early to try the specials cause they run out quick! We especially love the Pupusas and the El Pastor tacos. Everything we’ve tried has been amazing!
