When I got it, it was smaller than I would have liked for the price, but what the heck – I like bacon and avocado. The next disappointment was how it was made. It maybe contained a teaspoon of avocado and I could see the vegan bacon, but it was so full of jalapeños that I couldn’t taste ANY of the other ingredients. Depending on what I’m eating, I don’t mind some jalapeño, but this was nuts. I would expect them if I had ordered nachos, but seriously, who wants jalapeños on a bacon avocado wrap? I really wish that they had asked me before putting them in this dish. I would have said absolutely not!
To be fair to this place I’ll probably try them again, but I’ll pick a different menu selection and I’ll check to make sure they don’t put jalapeños in whatever it is.
And I have to mention the restaurant was clean, even the bathroom was spotless, which we love to see. The staff was super nice and welcoming, and nothing was missing from my order. The man even made my shake fresh when I arrived, which I really appreciated.
St. Louis is proving that even in my pescatarian era, I can still find spots that hit every time. Station 3 definitely understood the assignment. I’ll absolutely be back.
I’ve been a vegetarian for many years and not a huge fan of mock meat. However, the tacos were good and I enjoyed my food. I think the nachos could have more toppings. They have a flex menu which has meat options.
Plenty parking, clean restrooms.
We stopped by on Friday night for dinner, the plaza it’s located in was pretty quiet, the only cars seemed to be for this restaurant. I think it might be hard to find if you’re not specifically looking for it. Once inside the decor is so cute though. It’s fun and clean but also a little quirky. They have a TV showing animal videos in the main seating area.
They have several appetizers to choose from, we opted to go with mozzarella sticks and the burnt ends. The Mozzarella sticks were gooey and a little stringy. They taste slightly more rich than a traditional dairy mozzarella sticks, but I doubt you’ll find something that tastes as close to the real thing as here!
The burnt ends were made of seitan and they were so delicious. The bbq sauce was very tasty and the seitan was a little charred in places. A decent portion size as well.
For our mains my husband tried the tacos which he really liked, and I got the “shrimp” po boy. I think the “shrimp” was made from a mushroom protein of some sort but it looked and tasted eerily similar. I definitely never thought I’d be eating a vegan version of a po boy again and I was thrilled to see it on the menu.
To top it off I got the cookies and cream vegan milkshake. Very tasty! I believe it’s an oat milk base.
I also liked they had some food retail items such as Rebel Cheese Brie. I’ve been wanting to try that brand for a long time and was excited to be able to order some to go!
They also offer some non-vegan items for the meat eaters if you bring any along. I’d probably prefer to see a full vegan menu, but I understand making it easier for others to eat there as well.
The staff was very friendly and smiling the whole time. I would happily go back here many days in a row to be able to try all the other items on the menu.
We both had the Barramundi Sandwich and fries (husband had gf bun for his). Felt very safe eating here and enjoyed the quick service and chill vibe. Will be back for sure ❤️
The drink selection does not include Dr. pepper. But does have excellent mint tea. Price is a bit much but understandable as well.
