I celebrated my birthday here recently with 14 other friends and Hailey/Sophie + their staff made it so special! They were accommodating me very well with some reservation updates and provided me a a delicious free cake (for the large group reservation) as well. The food and ambiance plus the attention of care from their staff constantly made my dinner feel amazing as all our tables were sat close enough together in the corner. The meat quality for our combos were great and fresh. They also gave us some free service drinks and the owner came around giving us a sample of their fried chicken. I can’t thank the whole team at Mountain San KBBQ enough. Our friends agreed that this was a great place to gather for birthdays or just because in the future! Thank you to the whole team and management!!! 🙂 I highly recommend to try this spot out in Ktown, you won’t regret it.

Best tasting Korean BBQ I’ve experienced. We ordered the $160 combo for 4 people and it was plenty of food. Also had the seafood pancake and homemade beef dumplings. Meats were all tender and excellent! Beef dumplings were our least favorite and nothing special.

I had an amazing experience here and would definitely come back when I’m back in LA.

I’m honestly surprised this place doesn’t have much reviews. It really deserves more attention. The meat was incredibly fresh and delicious. They have different types of combo for meat. They also offer a variety of dipping sauces, including special salts for beef and pork, which added a nice touch.

If you’re not sure how things work, just ask. The server is very friendly and more than happy to help. Our server was taking care of 3 or 4 tables at the same time, but still managed to cook our meat perfectly.

One thing we noticed was that most of the customers were Korean, which gave us even more confidence that the food would be authentic and high quality.

Highly recommend trying this place.

took my three kids out to eat alone and had a fantastic experience at Mountain San KBBQ. No wonder this place has been popular in LA for over 50 years — it truly exceeded my expectations!

The meat was super fresh and generously portioned — great value, especially for families.
The best part? They do all the grilling for you! As a mom dining alone with three kids, this made everything so much easier.
The side dishes and salad bar were diverse and refillable.
️ Free parking is available (park at P4). Just bring your parking ticket and scan it at the front desk after your meal.

We ordered the Stone Grill Combo for $99 — the portion was huge, more than enough for one adult and three kids!

Here’s what we got:
Thinly sliced brisket – super tender, melts in your mouth
Beef belly – beautifully marbled with a hint of milky aroma
Pork belly – grilled to a perfect crisp, so flavorful
Pork jowl – chewy and bouncy, with great texture

Plus, we got free steamed egg and rice! My kids loved the egg so much they finished the broth too.

The staff was incredibly attentive, the service was excellent, and the whole experience was stress-free and enjoyable. Highly recommend for anyone — especially parents dining with kids!

‼️ Tip: This place is super popular, so go early or make a reservation in advance.

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS highly recommend! The meat was so high quality and the flavor was so profound that no sauce was even required! Definitely check it out one of my new favorite spots!

Tips to get in: since we went at night it was hard to find because the plaza was closed but you can park on the side then walk to the parking garage on the left side Of the entrance and use the elevator to P4.

I had an amazing experience at Mountain San BBQ. Before even stepping foot into the restaurant, the fact that it had free parking was such a plus; definitely a nice change of pace from searching for or paying for K-town parking spots.

This location serves as the newest location of the Mountain restaurants, combining the old menus of Mountain of Sixth St. and Mountain Noodle, as well as providing KBBQ.

We got the beef combo for three people, some pork belly, as well as their naengmyun. The cuts of beef were the perfect thickness, and the staff were excellent and attentive, making sure the meats were super tender. The steamed egg was light, yet flavorful, while the side dishes were extremely fresh and unique. The naengmyun was also excellent, with the bibim naengmyun using glass noodles instead of the traditional buckwheat noodles, making it extra chewy. The owner also said the broth was sweetened using only fruit juice, and with zero msg!

The interior was also very clean, plates were made of a sturdy metal and very nice quality, and the meats were grilled over charcoal.

I would say this place is one of the best places for KBBQ around LA.

I can confidently say this is one of the best kbbq spots in LA!!! The meat quality and quality for all dishes (including the salads and side dishes) are all so amazing. It’s actually crazy the price is beyond worth the quality you’re getting. I genuinely have no bad things to say about this restaurant. I would describe more but I’d recommend you to go try it yourself and you’ll understand. All the servers and employees were so friendly as well 🙂

The service was actually pretty good but there is an old Korean woman. Her attitude changed so fast after realizing I don’t speak Korean. There’s no need for that.

WOW! This place recently relocated from 6th Street and is now inside Koreatown Plaza on the 3rd floor—and let me just say, it’s a fantastic upgrade!

FREE PARKING? That’s already a win in LA!
But what really blew me away was the taste—it was even better than I expected. The meat quality is outstanding. Honestly, overquality for the price, which is so rare these days.

This is exactly the kind of value and flavor we’ve been looking for. Thank you, San Mountain BBQ! I’ll definitely be back again sooh with my friends and collegues.

STOP what you’re doing and book a table at Mountain San BBQ –this place is a certified KBBQ banger.
If you’re rolling deep and hungry in Ktown – Mountain San BBQ is your new go-to.
We came in with a group of 7 and ordered both the Premium Beef Combo and Pork Combo, and it was absolutely the right move.
Every cut was on point – the beef was tender and juicy, the pork had that perfect balance of crisp edges and melt-in-your-mouth fat.
No dry bites, no filler — just premium meat done right.
The marinated short ribs and ribeye were crowd favorites, but honestly, there wasn’t a single bad item on the grill. Every bite hit.
Hard.
And the side dishes?
* Steamed egg – cloud-like, fluffy perfection.
* Mung bean pancake — crispy, earthy, addictive.
* Naengmyun (cold + spicy) – refreshingly chewy and a lifesaver between meat waves.
* Soybean paste stew — warm, savory, and a killer pairing with the pork.
Inside is spacious, clean, and stylish, with enough room for a big group without feeling packed. And the free parking with validation at KTP is a straight-up blessing – no Ktown parking games here.
But the real MVPs? The staff. Super attentive, helped with the grilling, gave great recommendations, and kept everything smooth even with our big group.
This spot is legit. A must-visit. Come hungry, come with friends, and don’t sleep on the beef/ pork combo — trust me.
