Craving a true feast? If you’re hunting for all-you-can-eat birria, menudo, caldo de queso, and chile rellenos, this family-owned gem is the spot! From savory picadillo and tacos to crispy mini chimis, they’ve got it all. Plus, they just leveled up with a full bar serving margaritas and mixed drinks. The food is 10/10 and the staff makes you feel right at home!”

Late review, since I ate here back in March, but in trying to remember it’s name I realized I hadn’t left a review. It could have just been the day, but the meal I had here was a top five meal of all time for me. I’ve traveled to 49 states and this is the Mexican food I dream of. We had the Cabeza and Steak tacos and a caramello and obviously made good use of their superb salsa / toppings bar, and the experience of the food and atmosphere is right up there with gamjatang in Seoul or cacio e pepe in Roma. Awesome spot, dirt floors with a porta potty out back and smokers out front. I did a lot of Sonoran food in Tucson, but Los Mezquites is the spot I will never forget. I’ll be back as soon as I can!

Really incredible Mexican brunch buffet spot that is also truly a hole in the wall. Located on Tucson’s far southwest side, this spot is authentic as it can get. We went on a Sunday morning and it was packed. They have indoor and outdoor seating, but rest assured it’ll feel like you’re eating outside. The floor here is dirt and the interior is unfinished. None of that matters. What matters is the food rocks. They have a wide variety of Mexican items and a few American ones like pancakes. All of it was great. This place helped me get over my fear of Mexican buffets after a gross experience in El Paso. The staff were also really friendly and this place was cheap.

It’s probably some of the most authentic carne asada tacos I have had. The bean and cheese quesadilla was amazing and the salsa bar was great! Clean and comfortable atmosphere, it was nice and cool inside and you can smell the aromas of the meat cooking from the street.

The food was amazing!!! Best authentic Mexican food. The menudo was probably some of the best I ever had!. The ladies were so super sweet, kind, and helpful. They made your feel welcomed. They were also always cleaning the buffet area making sure it stayed clean
This will be a forsure stop when visiting Tucson. I highly recommend it.

If your ever around Mission & Drexel just behind Chico’s smoke shop you need to try some taco’s and menudo at Los Mezquites. It really doesn’t get anymore authentic then this. Very friendly service and awesome food. We will definitely be returning.

The food was delicious. It felt like you were invited to someone’s house to eat breakfast. Very authentic homemade dishes. I definitely recommend to anyone wanting a “ home cooked” meal.

Upon entering I was greeted by a waitress and since it’s my first time coming I asked her how it went to order. I told her I had my 3 children and she said the smaller ones wouldn’t have to be paid for because they’re under the “limit”, mind you 1 of them is a month old so their definitely not eating. When she came with the check it came out to 47.00 I asked her if that was correct for 2 adults and 1 child and she said “yes it is” this is the same waitress that stated the pricing in the beginning. I was charged for 3 children and 2 didn’t eat their food! Untrustworthy employee really made the experience lackluster.
