This is our go-to local place for a satisfyingly delicious lunch. The food is always fresh; the flavors always pop. I have a difficult time deciding between their Waldorf or Pear and Pecan salads. Both tempt my palette with savory and sweet ingredients. (I prefer them sans chicken.) My husband likes the sandwich/salad combo. Great place to eat!

Perfection
The pear pecan salad was a beautiful experience that I savored slowly. The pears were perfectly sweet, ripe, the bacon crispy, the blue cheese pungent. What a sensory experience! And then the coconut cheesecake… im in love, I will be back with friends.

I think this is the best food in Bountiful, it is always fresh, and tastes amazing. The owners are very friendly and courteous. The staff is friendly & courteous as well. I think Your food comes out to you, faster than any fast food restaurant. The atmosphere is extremely pleasant. I always come away feeling satisfied in my eating experience. The portions are more than worth the price. Thank you Plates and Palates owners and staff, for an amazing dedication to the eating experience, and your wonderful atmosphere.

You can find me where the good food is. ❤️ After the Salt Lake Fringe Festival my Mom and I needed some food. I suggested we go to Plates & Palates in Bountiful. It was our first time there. The food was so good. We got it to go. I got the Pear and Pecan Salad and daily special Turkey BLT. Let me tell you that food was so good. My Mom ordered the Mediterranean sandwich, daily soup Ham and Bean, and the Chef’s salad. Can’t wait to go back. 5/5

Plates and Palates is a cute and cozy restaurant and catering service located off 500 N in Bountiful. Their food was great but the Salted Caramel Cheesecake was devine.
Parking is a bit cramped. This restaurant is somewhat noisy and not ideal for a date or important conversation.
Service was excellent.

I had the Reuben sandwich and loved it. Would highly recommend this place great work!
My wife lives this place, they did a great job getting our food warm and out quickly. However this second time we went the Reuben sandwich bread was way over cooked. It shredded the top of my mouth making it hard to eat and enjoy. I will still come back but just some feed back to not over cook the bread.
But at least they didn’t over cook the cheese sandwich for my kiddos .

Just tried this for the first time on a whim. It was very good. Slightly on the pricey side but good quality food so I think it’s worth it.
I got the Reuben and it was fantastic. My wife got a half Lemon Tarragon and a half veggie sandwich. I tried the Lemon Tarragon and it was very tasty. Our kids enjoyed the snack tray.
Give this place a try! We’ll likely be back again

Plates & Palates has become my top choice for dining in the area. The service is always consistently quick and friendly, and the food never disappoints. What sets them apart is not only their fresh food, but diverse dessert selection – it’s consistently amazing every time. I first tried them out on a whim due to their great reviews and convenient location, and now I keep coming back for more. Even when I was sick with COVID-19 a few weeks ago, their light meal options ( I now usually always get get the Minestrone soup & the Turkey Apple Brie Sandwich) made battling my cold bearable alone. Thanks to Plates & Palates for always delivering delicious fresh food options and great service. I’ll definitely be a regular! ( picture update as of 4/4/24: Strawberry Gorgonzola Chicken Salad with complimentary Sourdough Roll, Lemon Ginger Tea, and decadent Grapefruit Pistachio Cheesecake)

Being a guy, I probably never would have chosen this place because of the name. It sounds too frufru chick food for me. But I let the Mrs decide, and she chose here.
I was pleasantly surprised. The salads were great, but a little on the frufru but were delicious.
All of the food was obviously fresh, and much of it was being prepped as they needed it. So, definite thumbs up for the freshness and high quality.
Both sandwiches were filled nicely with quality ingredients that complimented everything in the sandwich. I ate the full sandwich, she took half home. We were both full.
It gets busy fast, and there is limited seating, so plan accordingly.

TL:DR great place with even better food, don’t wait for a receipt just go up and pay when finished.
Very warm atmosphere with a nostalgic flair. The food was delicious and seemingly made from scratch. I had the lemon terragon salad and I can’t wait till I get to have it again, it was so good! My meal seemed reasonably priced for portion size as well. The way they take your order feels like an old school diner sort of which is fun. My only note is to just head to the front register when finished eating. There is not any table service per se so no one is going to bring you a receipt or check you out even though it almost feels like a place where they would. This was slightly confusing the first time eating here but now that I know this fact I actually really like it because I never felt rushed. Will definitely be back again.
