went to Safari 77 to try West African food for the first time, and it was a great experience. We started with suya as an appetizer—it was very yummy. It was spicy, but I actually loved the heat and flavor.
For the main dishes, we ordered fufu with lamb, jollof rice, banku with fish, and later tried the fried fish with fried yam. Everything tasted delicious, and everyone at the table loved the food.
Our server, Ladina, was amazing. She explained the dishes well, was very attentive, and provided awesome service throughout the meal.
The atmosphere was nice, clean, and welcoming. The prices are a little on the high side, but the food quality and service made it worth it.
Overall, it was a great first experience with West African cuisine, and I would definitely recommend Safari 77.

Safari77 Cuisine truly exceeded expectations. We had the palm nut soup with fufu, and it was absolutely amazing rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Beyond the food, the hospitality was nothing short of incredible. The warmth and attentiveness made the entire experience feel special. Definitely a place worth returning to and recommending.

First time here, we had the Jollof rice, the goat, puff puff, the fried yam and fish. The food was delicious! Good service! Cute decor! I enjoyed my leftovers! Can’t wait to return!

The service and atmosphere was warm and welcoming from beginning to end. The pastor has a great sense of humor. I think I danced a little lol! Oh, yeah not to mention the led Chakra vibe which was a nice touch. I found resources to connect me to the community in meaningful ways. I enjoyed the fried turkey and veggie toppings. My partner really enjoyed the okra and fufu!

Best suya I have had! Really enjoyed visiting this restaurant. Pastor Francis (owner) was a kind host. I only had suya but look forward to having fish next time. The ambience is excellent and I liked the variety of snacks and drinks they have. Wish I had a chance to try the jollof but gleaning from other reviews it is the best in CT. I included the menu pictures and was excited at the diverse of west African cuisine and the price is very good for the supple options.

I saw someone eating this African food called Fufu on a social app! So I searched on Google and found this place! It was my first time trying it, and I thought it was incredibly delicious! It totally suits my Chinese palate

The flavors were definitely there — the food and the sauce were very good and rich in flavor. It truly felt like being somewhere in Africa, which I appreciated. The fufu itself was mild in flavor, but it paired very well with the sauce, which was excellent.

The owner was very kind, and the ambience of the place was also very nice.

One area that could use some improvement is the tenderness of the meat. The cow feet and the tripe were quite tough and difficult to chew. I’m not sure if this is part of the traditional preparation, but a bit more tenderness would really elevate the dish, since the meat is such an important part of the plate.

Overall, I would love to come back and try it again, especially if the tenderness of the meat improves, because the flavors and atmosphere are already there. Food was very pricey

Food was ok at best. The rice was really good and seasoned beef was good (although tough and a little dry). The goat was mostly fat and bone, and the turkey tails were the same. Chicken was ok. The woman who helped us was friendly and fast. Also expensive, especially when you see the food quality.

Amazing experience just a moment ago! They took the time to explain all of their delicious offerings!

They serve THE BEST Jollof rice we’ve ever had! Also enjoyed the waakye with chicken and fish! We will be back soon. Thank you for taking such good care of us tonight!
