Located just south of Farrow Parkway off of local rt 17 in the shopping center right next to Foodlion sits China King. A small what I believe to be family establishment has not once disappointed me thus far. While I am not a huge fan of Chinese food I find myself going back more often than I should at times. It’s that good From Sweet and Sour chicken, Chicken w/ broccoli, and Szechuan Chicken i have enjoyed each and every meal. Always accompanied with a Shrimp Egg Roll or Spring Rolls….mmmmmm….already thinking about living beyond my means again China King is pretty much like the Chinese restaurant from back in MD. Food is always good, fair price, unbelievably quick service, and most importantly good people running the place.
If you are local or even in from out of town you very well might want to give China King a try. It certainly is my go to choice for Chinese where I stay.

We have been coming to China King for almost 10 years now for our Chinese takeout, and it has truly become one of our favorite places. We first started coming here before I even had my first daughter. At first it was just once in a while, but after moving closer to the area we began visiting more regularly. For the past few years, we’ve stopped in about once a month whenever time allows. All 4 of my kids, now know and love this place.
Every single time we come here, the experience is wonderful. It genuinely feels like visiting friends because the owners are so kind and welcoming. They remember faces, greet you personally, and always make sure you have everything you need before you leave.
One time, I realized shortly before closing that we may have forgotten part of my order, either my mistake or theirs we will never really know. When I called, they were incredibly apologetic even though it might not have been their fault. They immediately offered to make it right, dispite them being 10 mins til closing. Not only did they remake my sesame chicken, they had it fresh, hot, and ready before I even arrived. They handled the situation with so much kindness and care.
The food is consistently excellent. The crab rangoons are my absolute favorite, they’re exactly what I imagine when I think of the perfect crab rangoon. The chicken is always fresh and flavorful, the rice is cooked perfectly, and their lo mein is something my kids fight over almost every time we bring it home.
The family who owns and runs this place truly does an amazing job. They work hard, care about their customers, and it shows in every visit. We are so thankful to have them in our community and I hope more people continue to support this wonderful family and their business. They absolutely deserve it.

Pretty good and the best of the locally owned Chinese take-out within 10miles of me in south Myrtle. My favorite dish is the Kung Pao Shrimp combo dinner special. Had six plump shrimp. They actually add some diced cucumber to the stir-fry which many local recipes leave out, which is delicious. Not as spicy hot as original recipe but one can ask them for more POW in the Kung Pao! Dining area gets a little warm in the summer so opt for take-out if you prefer dining in cool AC. Highly recommend this place. Lady at the front is very nice & charming.

Employees were super nice and friendly, that said, it took 25+ minutes for pickup when they said 10 minutes, and they wanted to be paid in cash instead of card (order minimum perhaps?). So maybe be prepared to wait and bring some cash. Also, the chicken in chicken teriyaki was really rubbery and red all over the edges. The other dishes look fine, I just wouldn’t recommend this one. I’ll be back at some point due to their friendliness and will try another dish.

This place was extremely busy when I came to place my order. There were only two people working. My shrimp rolls were dripping with grease and over cooked. I tried to eat one shrimp roll but had to throw it out because it was horrible. My order took over 30 minutes and it wasn’t worth the wait. I also ordered General Tso Chicken and wings for my son. He said the wings were good… my GTC was just ok. I also noticed how the woman who worked there treated everyone. When everyone’s order was ready, she repeated back the order and said thank you come again with a smile. When my order was ready. She just placed it on the counter and said here’s your order. She didn’t confirm it like she did with everybody else. she did that with everyone else except me and they were about six people. I will not be coming back here to eat.

Nice and clean environment. Friendly staff and the food is affordable and you get alot for your dollar. I highly recommend this establishment if you are local or just passing through.
